I was just about to say, 2.5 hours out and no match thread for a CL match against Man City, not a good sign of morale (And yes, my fingers are broken.)
No matter the result the agony will continue ,if we get a good result Xabi will stay till we lose or draw to Alaves ,if we lose ....well the team and Alonso are finished Like i said before the Bilbao game, there is no win scenario,we won agains Bilbao and the misery continued till Celta ,what was the point ? Yep no winning scenario the team is generaly fecked
Even if we were to win this match, the circumstances would likely remain unchanged in a few subsequent matches; with xabi it is roller coaster ride.
The board is why we are in this situation, Xabi is making the same sort of decisions CA did last year. This team looks awful in large part because our starting LB is playing CB and our starting midfield captain is now playing RB, while guys like Alaba, Mendy and Dani wind down contracts instead of leaving last summer. The board arguably could have afforded to do that with Dani but we can't have the other 2 defense positions essentially vacant for another season.
After the weekend i'd just like to see the team play well tonight with intensity, no matter whose on the pitch, a win would be icing on the cake
Viní usually plays great vs Man City 9 appearances 7 G/A Will be happy with a draw considering circumstances
🚨 BREAKING: Real Madrid lineup against City. pic.twitter.com/bM3gWySLqJ— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) December 10, 2025
Ceballos in almost 2026 ,this club has fallen men ,Gonzalo has 100 minutes all season and then starts against City ,Arda outperforms Jude as a 10/creative midfielder but loses his place on the pitch because of this guy who is just a name so predictable If City score early my God
If we lose and Xabi is sacked I am honestly boycotting the rest of the season and I hope many others do too. This is Xabi Alonso we're talking about. I feel ashamed even comparing him to Ten Haag earlier. We will come to regret that decison.
I would pick a 5-man-midfield over fielding Rodrygo, even if that meant calling up a Castilla player. This 3-man attack will be easily controlled, not much different from Acenloci days.
MANCHESTER CITY XI: Donnarumma; Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O’Reilly; Nico, Bernardo, Foden; Cherki, Doku, Haaland.
The team usually plays better when they have more space. At least I hope to see better quality of football than that shambolic performance against Vigo. Hopefully Rüdiger steps up today, but in the current state of the team it will be difficult not to concede a goal(s).
I'm skipping this game for the sake of my well being.. Edit: Franco for Rodrygo would have been great
I hope we give Xabi +1 game of management tonight, but the injuries and form we currently have are devastatingly bad.
I guess I'll tune in to watch my favorite team get steamrolled by a Pep team. Why not. Players don't care; I should care even less, but I do care.
Why the hell is Paramount showing women's CL highlights at the beginning of a Real Madrid game? Is there really not enough to talk about?
