Ironic how it was a Caterano that spared Carlo's blushes.

Jacobo and Chema have played under Alonso in the past so they'll probably get their fair share of playing opportunities.

Love seeing the younger players shine. I hope to see more of it under Xabi.

Behind Vini, he's the player that needs a break the most!

Dude needs surgery and a long time off. I hope they make the intelligent decision to do it now. He's a shadow of what he was last season.

This picture cracks me up. Looks like a bald version of this character from the show Scrubs.

Can't tell me there wasn't something extra behind that lol.

Anyways, with the addition of Huijsen we're apparently deep with talent at CB.

At least three young Spanish players ready to perform (Huijsen, Asensio, Jacobo), one main veteran (Ruidiger) and another veteran rotational piece (Militao).

Yeah the CB position is looking more promising. Hopefully Militao comes back fit and ready and hungry.

LB and a midfielder or two and let’s see.

Vallejo... What could have been. If only he wasn't so fragile. Convinced he'd be making the Spanish NT team regularly. He is quality.

Good for you and your Alaba obsession, Jacobo so far is living proof that not every youngster is Raul, that can hit the ground running after mostly playing in the 3rd or 4th division or whatever it is, and one last minute goal against a team that barely attacked and fought for their lives defensively isn't changing that, luckily the team is run by professionals who it seems have decided to reinforce the team with a far more capable player, i haven't seen anything from Jacobo yet that screams "this dude should be challenging for a place on the first team' but i guess that's because the coach is crap and he should have gotten many more mins to prove himself or whatever the narrative must be........

The math shows Fran Garcia is our best crosser of the ball, and as much of a wet towel as he is defensively, just watch the tape and see how smooth of a ball he crosses.

Of Xabi can somehow protect him defensively (maybe with a firearm license), then he can be an asset.

The cross to Guler was like a cold drink on a hot day. Shame it wasn't converted.

Good point. Protect him defensively and give him someone to aim at in the box.

Yeah I don't see much in Jacobo to say he's a future first team player. Just too soft defensively. Happy that he got to live out his dream and score a winner at the Bernabeu, but he's not someone you can count on for next season.

As a 4th/5th option I think Jacobo could be fine. The Vallejo role but has more upside currently.

Alaba is so bad, I don’t trust him at all. Sorry, it’s not an obsession, others agree.

He is sooo soo soft. Was pushed around too easily. Almost gave up the second from a silly mistake if not for a great Tibo save.
