One full season without trophies and look what you have become. "maybe we need to keep tearing the team down" We are all going to remember your usernames when we start winning again, you better hope we keep losing, I'm sure you do anyway.
Did I? This is a direct quote of mine Monday at 5:32 PM Look I don't agree with sacking him in this manner but I also believe we haven't really lost anything of value. Do people really think that another manager won't be able to tactically set the team up like he did against Barcelona? 5 defenders and everyone behind the ball. Any manager can do that. So yeah nothing lost nothing gained really. WE move on. Monday at 5:44 PM He should have stayed till the end of the season obviously but I think some of you are overreacting. First time? Players can win everything for couple of years and lose motivation too. Barca got rid of some big names in 2008 due to that. We have seen it from Marcelo, Isco etc too.

On the other hand Ronaldinho was as old as Vini is now when he played at Barca, not when he left. Marcelo was over 30 as were CR7, Ramos, etc., assuming they were still motivated physically they couldn’t do the things they had always done. At this point it looks very likely that Vini will leave but I also think he’s got AT LEAST one more out of this world season where people say he’s the best player in the world again and it may be he needs to be somewhere else to do that. I think the club very much foresees itself being on the losing end of a situation where Vini leaves for free/cheap only to go on lifting trophies and live his best life at another club while it is stuck an anchor of a contract with Mbappe and team built for him while he sets into decline post ‘ 26 WC.
Yeah and the guy sucks yet people wonder why we have had struggles We can sell Mbappe, Vini, Rodrygo, etc... like the mental lightweights on here cheer on but the results will be the same if not worse if the actual issues which is JAS and Florentino's management of club resources isn't changed.
By playing on the right it also means that passes and crosses will be coming on to the inside of his right foot, the ideal place for the ball to if he wants to get precision and power to score goals. I swear people want the entire offense to be just Mbappe starting hero runs from the halfway line a hundred times a game for a handful of goals, YouTube reels and Golden Boots even if the trade off is the club still doesn’t win jack for titles.
Exactly; for every Cristiano there are 10 Ronaldinho's. Meaning a lot of players once they complete club football [UCL, League, Cup] they just want to cruise for the rest of their careers.
He did not have great competition in the France midfield. At least at Madrid he could hide behind the fact that he was competing with Modric and Kroos. Now we are in a emperor has no clothes moment. It seems having Camavinga at LB and Valverde at RB was not really wasting their talents but just a recognition of their weaknesses.
Valverde is captaining his national team out of the midfield. It's just that we rather field ballerinas there.
That plan worked out real well the first time around. People just want immediate gratification regardless of what the cost is. Who comes after him if he leaves? And who is to say they will do any close to better? People look at just the week to week sporting performance of the club and want overarching changes to the institution. The club is in great financial state, highest revenue in the world, rebuilt the stadium into a state of the art stadium, massive sporting success in his second term, great financial stability with significant growth opportunities. Did he make mistakes? 1000%. The club needs a sporting director to define the sporting side. The super league execution was bad. Helping Barca to help push the super league was worse. Ultimately Florentino will need to step aside in the next 2 years, but there needs to be a proper transition and a vetted replacement in place prior to the next election, else this club risks going down the same path as many other former great clubs have went through.
So good to see Carlos back and engaging with the fans post heart surgery.
This is quite the oversimplification. He plays in in the midfield with Uruguay because they don't have other options. He has played with Ugarte and Bentacour. Why would be play RB with that assortment of midfielders. Who would take his place in Uruguay? That is like saying Davies playing in the front attack for Canada, so that makes him a competent winger on a top club. But he plays LB with Bayern. I am not going to go down this rabbit hole with you because when it comes to Valverde, you don't provide any context, just "gotcha" one liners.
