I've put together a list of things to achieve this year. One of them was seeing Real Madrid. Went to the Bernabéu a couple years ago but wasn't able to see a game. Only thing that's genuinely stopping me from going this season is how shit the team has been.
You gotta go this season, please. Last year I went and we lost to Milan. Now @Álvaro Morata went and we lost to Getafe. This means when you go we'll also lose, so please do it this season cause it's a throwaway season anyway
I made my first trip last year for the City 3-1 win where it was arguably the best game played all season. Look how that turned out :/
Yeah, not the best game, but we support no matter what, hope next game i visit to be a lot more wort it. I should've gone a long time ago, so this season i said that i need to finally do it. @4x4s was your first visit at Bernabeu better experience than mine, or you haven't been to a game yet ? Just curious question, hope you answer
Dude, you just asked a couple hours ago, people work and have a life. I personally refuse to pay the extortionate prices the club tells itself the team is worth. We used to do the hack of going to Castilla and Basketball games instead, but now the club has given Castilla ticket privilege to members only, who already have access to tickets for the first team = more greed. I paid a couple hundred for basketball tickets this season, if the club continues it's incredible wave of greed, this season was the last that i pay to travel and watch the team. Watching the football team in away games cheaper where it costs less to watch it than in Madrid = Best strategy. I don't know how it's possible that going on a nice little Mallorca trip and watching Real Madrid play there than doing so in Madrid, but i guess we'll have to ask our superbrain presi for that. First experience watching the basketball team was in the Euroleague, first experience watching the football team actually away vs Bayern.
Yeah, sorry for the rush, i just thought it got overlooked and the topic was pretty interesting to me. Thanks for the very well structured answer, you know that i value your contribute and opinion around here. Sadly the prices are pretty high, even for the Getafe game which was our least attended one this season, i tell myself that i want to visit one game each season but when you consider the whole package just for 1 day stay its anything but cheap.
4 friends of mine watched the team play an away game for 200 euro, tickets for everybody included. Never going to the Bernabeu ever again was their message. I'm still scheduling a trip, but not to watch Madrid play, but a Liga game in general around other appointments.
When you say away games you mean in the away section or general sale from the home sector fans of the host team ? I try to buy only from the official web sites of the clubs, not those popular 3rd party reselling sites, so i expect to be pretty difficult to buy tickets for the home fans when Real M visits.
So you say that lets say for the Mallorca away game i can buy ticket from their official web site and even that its Real Madrid and i am not paid/premium member of Mallorca i can still buy in general sale and they don't get bought out before that ?
Great info, hope to use it in near future. Always wanted to go to different La Liga games but thought that against Real and Barcelona the stadiums get sold out. I was about to try to get tickets for the Rayo Vallecano vs Ath. Bilbao at Vallecas (2 days before our game vs Getafe) they are old school and sell tickets only at their office at the stadium, but the flights on the weekend were too expensive so i couldn't make it, hope to visit Vallecas same day.
One of the biggest scams is the fact they tell you you have a priority as a holder of the Madridista card to buy tickets... The socios come first ofcourse and all the tickets are usually gone for big games - so the only way to get a home ticket in Madrid is through a reseller. My trip+stay+tickets+museum came down to about €700-800 euros... That was for the Milan CL game. The ticket itself I think was about 350-400.
Through a reseller that price is actually not that bad. Of course maybe it was behind the goal or on the higher tiers. If you buy something from the store even without doing the tour and even for 1 day stay you could easily spend 4 digit amount. Ps. Every club in Europe says that tickets that are not through their official club sites are banned and they even say specific resellers sites, so i guess you luckily got no problems with the tickets they sold you ?
Had to go through a website. Can't remember which one. But I saw the name of the socio on the ticket. Didn't have any problems. Yeah, I was behind what was our goal in the 2nd half.
My obsession with the club has winded down and i just like the sport in general more. I've been to quite a few women's CL games last year, and international games.
Exactly the same thing with the excitement of the sport in general - sometimes i prefer to watch as a fan other games and enjoy them instead of getting too invested about our match in the same day/weekend. Last June i really wanted to go to the Stuttgart's Spain vs France Nations League game, but few people denied to go with me and i canceled... Maybe you went to those semifinal and final game in Munich, when you said international games i thought of them.
