I would bet on Lucas starting. I would also bet on Valverde starting and being told to give Vazquez extra help
I don't want to see Mendy at RB ever again. That was truly awful. Benzema doesn't need a rest as it's been about four days since the last game. It would be beneficial to get a lead early on to hook him for the quick turnaround match a couple days later, but we know that won't happen. I'm worried about our makeshift defense.
That’s an impressive take. I wonder if Jovic is able to combine better with his teammates from his living room couch. On the defensive matter, from what I’ve read Javier Hernandez (alongside Fidalgo and Baeza) are our most polished players in Castilla so we’d probably be fine with him in CB as well.
You're joking but you probably guessed the price right. Probably gonna play two wingbacks with Mendy joining Varane and Militao at CB. We already know Lucas will be the right side one. So because we guessed it, Zidane will now show up with no wingbacks but 3 defenders in a 343.
I hope we start this one with 5 midfielders with either Rodrygo/Hazard/Vinnie alongside Benzema up top, we have some important absences this game so control is the name of the game.
Tibo Militao - Varane - Mendy Valverde - Casemiro - Kross Rodrygo - Hazard - Vinicius Benzema Casemiro can drop back and Militao moves to the right when defending. Valverde and Vini with the speed to attack. Benzema and Hazard with some good passing to breakdown their defense.
Interesting to see Miguel Gutierrez in the list. Supposedly Zidane really likes him. Wonder if we see Mendy on the right with him slotting in at LB (or Javi Hernandez even).
We have been terrible in attack,if we dont score atleast 2 goals from open play against Alaves i will be worried. Vinicius,Benzema and Asensio front 3,no Burger King and experiments. Valverde,Kroos and Casemiro midfield,Mendy left back,Lucas on the right 3-1

Could be a blow-out, but could also be tough given no Ramos and no Marcelo as the two of them see the ball a lot these days. Best bet: grind a workman-like win out, no injuries, no crazy cards and suspensions, just focus on the title. Hoping for a 2-0.
