I also visited some places where we have our celebrations in Madrid, or where we bring our trophies.

1st is the cathedral of St. Maria de Almudena. There we "offer our trophies to the Virgin of the Almudena".



2nd is the Real Casa de Correos on Puerta del Sol plaza, where we are met by the community of Madrid president



And of course, it wouldn't be a trip to Madrid without visiting Cibeles.

I definitely recommend visiting Madrid. It's a city full of history and museums, beautiful parks, sights, great restaurants, and it definitely left a great impression on me. You would probably need at least a week to properly experience it, but even a 3 day trip was nice.​

 

For me, Madrid has the perfect combination of vibrancy, beauty, history, size, food, friendliness and public transportation. Simply a wonderful city.

 

Some of the other cities in Europe could really learn from Madrid. Things are just tasteful. Even people dress well.

I wish I had an extra day there. Can't wait to go back next year.

A little OT. Is anyone getting auto logged out of Bigsoccer on IOS-Chrome even if I have “keep me logged in” ticked? That never happens on my Android-Chrome.
