The problem is that RM can attack, and Milan's defense ....

You're correct actually, upon further inspection Real Madrid have a Goals Against Average of .86 and Goals For Average of 3.00 (!).

Milan, on the other hand, ship out about 1 goal against per game, but only score .75!

Might be a long day... FORZA MILAN!

Actually you're right in your assessment of their defense. The .86 GA average doesn't really tell the story. Casillas has already made many miracles this season. Look at these 2 against Sevilla ...

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbyplumdrVM"]YouTube - Two saves by Iker Casillas against Sevilla[/ame]

But as we all know, Milan's midfield and offense is in shambles. I think Milan will lose the battle in the midfield.

if milan cant score, it doesnt matter how we cant defend...YOU AINT SCORING

Madrid can score and your defence is just as bad as ours at the moment....

so in theory, madrid are going to win :D

I really like how cocky madrid fans get every year. For a team that can't even make it past the quarterfinals in the past 5 years or so, its really uncalled for. Don't get me wrong, Milan sucks right now, but I am just not sure exactly what Madrid has accomplished in the past 5 years to still remain so damn cocky.

Well, Kaká, Ronaldo, Benzema, Xabi, etc. gives them the right to feel just a bit cocky. It's sort of the way Milan fans felt before the 2002/03 season. We hadn't done anything in Europe for 6 or 7 seasons. But signing Nesta, Seedorf, Rivaldo, etc. gave Milan fans confidence that that season would be different. Real has as much talent as anyone in the world now. Maybe they should have splashed more cash on their backline but once this team finds it's identity they will be hard to beat.

    Real 3-0 Milan

Although on paper its not much of a contest, I think the event might bring out some long awaited enthusiasm from our guys. I could be horribly wrong and we might get obliterated but then again who gives a ********, they spent close to a quarter of a billion dollars on players in 1 ********ing offseason.

If its down to comparing the size of wallets then I lose interest.

    Just giving my two cents...

It has been conceded that Milan are in a transitory period where their strength is really low compared to prior years. However, you still have some strong players, many with experience in these types of situations. I think predicting a 3-0 loss to Real Madrid may be giving them a bit too much credit. The only teams they have beaten by those scorelines are Xerez, Espanoyl and Tenerife. Surely Milan are superior to those squads.

Depending on Milan's approach, this can be a close game. If Real should win, I expect it to be by two goals at most. However, a close 1-0 or even a tie is in the cards. I think a tie would be an incredible result for you guys; hoping you can pull away with a point.

Yes I accept that we have not done great in last 5 years but u know we have the most no. of CL titles. If u wanna say that 5 of them were a lot time ago still we have 4 CLs which is also good and only Milan and Liverpool have more CL titles than that.

Anyway Milan is a great club and I wish they go through the group stage.IMO it wont be a easy match for Madrid.

The Madrid defense is still not that great. On paper Milan should lose this match, but I would not be suprised if you guys pull off a draw or win tonight.

    Half time.

Would be 0-0 if not for Didas huge ******** up.

Madrid majority of possession but haven't done much with it.

I say screw it and put Huntelaar in, he might have most "anger" to express against his old club.

I'm trying to think the last time I saw an AC Milan keeper make such a mistake.

It would have to be around 1995 vs Roma, 1-1 I think

Rossi outfoxed by Totti. Anyone remeber that?

Very true.. I'm surprised at how good Seedorf's passing has been.

I know he is still a great player, but his consistency with the diagonal long ball to Pato in the first half was a mark of how good he truly is.

Like you say, were it not for Dida's ******** up the game would be 0-0. Your midfield and defensive play has been very solid... Ronaldinho has had some nice touches and flicks but he needs to come inside or take someone on to be effective. I know he is trying to be more unselfish, but he needs to penetrate to make something happen because as it stands now Inzaghi is too isolated.

And Pato has also shown some turns of brilliance.
