I would have been happy with him accepting a sub role but it wasn't gonna happen. He had a good streak of games that sparked interest from teams and he used that chance. At 24, time was running out for him to make a name for himself.
I don't even think Zidane would have given him a sub role even. For some reason, he just wasn't a fan. It happens sometimes.
Zizou doesn’t rate him and he is our coach of choice... so I can only say good luck except for the derbies.
This one hurts a lot. I really wanted him to succeed here and I believe he had the talent to do so if he had been given a proper chance (like he showed in that nine-game stretch under Solari). I think Zidane is making a mistake, but we must accept his decision. Can't blame the player for choosing the best option for his career. Good signing for Atletico. Goodbye Marcos!
Shame. Not a fan of this transfer. I’m not wishing him luck at Pathetico. If it was another team, sure, but I hope he never wins a title there.
I never believed he would or should take over Casemiro, but definitely a strong back up. I thought he would add more value to the squad in future years than Ceballos and Isco, but it was never meant to be.
Can we just close the thread until January when we go looking for a Lucas Silva in the winter market because there's no backup DM.
Dude I get your points here and there and I tend to be a little negative myself sometimes towards the club's decisions but man reading your posts can be very tiring.
Can we just lock you out until then instead? Or sell you to Atletico for a bag of nuts like Llorente?
