Lost to Roma today 1-0 but they advance to the next round of the Champions League. Real Madrid have basically looked like crap the past month. Good news is October is over tomorrow. Bad news is their first game in November is at Deportivo.

Like I said earlier, great team on paper but on the field it's another story. They need to regroup fast.

Well, i didn't like the team today. They don't play very bad but they can play far better.

We were very precipitated attacking. We tried to enter many times for the center, and with so many italian defenders was very dificult enter for that zone. But the team repated again and again this mistake.

Raul missed three very clear goals - quite unusual thing. Ronaldo isn't adapted to the team and vice versa. He need time and the team need time, but in teams like the Real Madrid you haven't many time because there is a great media pressure. Figo returned from a injury and he wasn't very well. Zidane played very well but he can win alone the games.

About the defense, we made very bad the pressure and also we lost many balls in the midfield, letting the Roma very clear goal opportunities. We played with a advanced defense in line, and this is very dangerous if the team play with slow defenders like Hierro and the Midfielders don't make well the presion letting the other team think.

Well, the only good thing is that after these bad games we are classified to the second round in the CL and we are in the top positions in la liga.

    The best:
    Zidane, Casillas

    The worse:
    Makelele, Ronaldo, Hierro

At least Raul and Figo are back from injury. They have their hands full this weekend at Deportivo.

I thought Figo was Madrid's worst player today v Roma. He has lost a step and can't get by defenders anymore. Plus he's too individualistic and falls down way too easily.

As I said in the thread on the Madrid v Roma match, Madrid is taking time acclimating to Ronaldo. It will eventually happen but he's not really suited to Madrid's game as he doesnt play well with his back to goal, doesn't pass well and with team's sitting back and defending it makes it more difficult for him to run onto passes as there isn't the space for that.

They are losing points in La Liga, being five down headed into November with away matches at Deportivo and Barcelona. I don't expect them to toss in the towel but pretty soon the Liga will be out of reach and the focus will be on the Champions League.

Maybe I am overreacting as it is still early but like every other Real Madrid fan, I'm concerned.

    Real Madrid under pressure?

Rumours. Real Madrid as a big team, is target for rumours, criticism and pressure.
People say the team has a big pressure, (Once there was told Zidane confirm this, even said they had to take somekind of drug¿? Gossips) but Casillas said RM is not in crisis.
    Real M vs Roma)
It reminds me so much Argentina in the last World Cup, a big team, with a group of stars, fight and fight and the rival team makes the goal. And when the bigs ones falls ...everybody trample them.
Zidane was MISTREATED (He just left the game), RM players couldn`t play, they were completely surrounded by rivals. Well, that`s the way football is, a fight, and the important players are always on rival`s target.

Hey Zidane, remember what Ricky Martin says in his song: "Es un patido cruel...".

Raul And Figo Disappointing, Says Totti After 'Most Important Victory' Of Career

Roma forward Francesco Totti was in jubilant mood after scoring the goal that beat Real Madrid 1-0 at the Bernabeu.

"Although I scored last year it was a penalty and earned us a draw," he said.

"To score the winning goal from open play in Madrid is an incredible feeling.

"We proved that Roma are a great team and this is the most important victory of my career.

"As a player I'm maturing and with these tactics I have more opportunity to go for goal.

"I was impressed by Ronaldo as he had been criticized, but he did well against us. I was a little disappointed by Raul and Luis Figo, but I'd give the European Player of the Year award to Roberto Carlos."
