Gol TV holds live US TV rights to up to 9 La Liga matches each week, and tape-delay US TV rights to 1 La Liga match each week (shown live on Voom's World Sport HD channel).

Gol TV holds live US TV rights to Copa del Rey through the semifinal round.

TVE Internacional has the Copa del Rey final.

ESPN holds exclusive US TV rights to ALL UEFA Champions League matches in all languages. Some of these matches are sublicensed to Setanta Sport for distribution on Setanta Pub Channel (closed-circuit TV available at pubs only).

    Update:

Gol TV now has all La Liga games involving Real Madrid LIVE, home and away.

Most of Gol TV's English-speaking viewers can't get enough of Real Madrid.

"Los Galaticos" have an absurd list of megastars on the squad: Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul, Zidane, Roberto Carlos, and Figo.

    ==

ESPN chose to let US TV rights to La Liga slip away in the US market, opening the door to upstart Gol TV.

La Liga is turning out to be much better product for Gol TV than Serie A.

    thats great news!!!!!!!!!!

I have to tip my hat to GOLTV.. they really done a great job of including football fans from everywhere in the world.. their production teams put FSW to shame... Fox could learn something from GolTV with their pregame and halftime show... very interactive with emails... I am very impressed with their interaction with their demographic of hardcore football fans... every email I have sent albeit good or bad, has been met with one of their announcers, that is great customer service... they have made a fantastic appeal to all football fans with their blend of European football and South & Central American football... great UEFA coverage.. I even catch myself checking out the Columbian league every now and then..... A channel done right.... and thats from a Premiership junkie.....

a note on espn's real madrid CL telecasts>
    CRAP.

They show Real-Maraille, Real-Monaco, whatever other weak team they play, but NO
    THEY DONT SHOW
    Madrid-Munchen.
This was easily the best matchup available.
    but no.

They did show the match live on ESPN Deportes. The fact that very few people in the country can get this channel is a different stroy. For that, see the ESPN Deportes thread. But really, you can't blame ESPN here for not showing the match.

I watched the match live BTW, and it was an incredibly good goal by Zidane.

That's because ESPN show the English rights of Real x Bayern (2nd leg) to Setanta. Setanta showed the games in pubs on Wednesday at 17:00 EST, at 2 hour delay.

You mean you didn't see it?

This looks like you are quoting an article. Where's it from? If this is true, our prayers have been answered. We can now get all RM games on ONE satellite service. I've been waiting forever for some kind of consolidation of La Liga and CL on one service.
