Trade Figo for as much money... Use the money to Bring Totti... Bring in Davids from Barca... use Morientes as leavage....
i really think davids is VERY unlikely. also rivaldo is non-eu. do you want solari to be the back-up to zidane, totti and raul??? and while that team is better than the previous year's, i still think the defense is too weak. only adding one defender, no matter how good he is, is not enough and i dont think davids alone could do it. maybe though, but like i said you wont be getting davids. xabi alonso tho?

isnt luisao having a bad year in portugal? luisao=non-eu eto'o=non-eu ronaldo=non-eu samuel=non-eu r.carlos i heard doesnt wanna get a passport so non-eu. so i count 4-5 non-eu's. next yr only 2 can be on the field, 3 on the team.
do you think eto'o is that much better than mista, r. oliveira, or carew (he comes back next yr i think)?
----------------Ronaldo-------------------- -----Figo---------Raul--------Beckham------ ----------Zidane--------( )----------- ---Carlos-----Samuel----Helguera---Salgado-- Bench: Solari, Meijia, Pavon, Portillo, Guti the blank ---( )---: Totti?? Davids??? Vieira???? help me fill in....
It doesn't really matter what I think (answer is yes though) but what Valencia thinks, and they wanted him for this season, and after playing pretty good they would maybe want him again. Even if they don't, Atletico have said they want the player as well, so money can be had from him to buy Ayala.
Looking at all these posts and watching Real Madrid i see that Zidane is playing left mid now? When did this happen? It used to be... -----Zidane Raul----Ronaldo ^that seemed to work alot better, no?
not lah........ maybe... my reason for putting zidane to the left so that he can play wif carlos, if carlos lost form or wat he can help out haha. Beckham to right wing i agreed..... but the blank put what? solari or new players?? any suggestions?
well i think that since i am hearing news that Carlos will be leavin to chelsea for 30 million dollars... that we will mean more money coming in.. also i just read that .."New Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho has asked sports director Jorge Valdano to sign his Benfica centre-half Luisao. The Brazilian international could be signed for a knockdown £3.5 million and will be Real's second defensive signing following the capture of Walter Samuel from AS Roma." so this means that a nother center-back.. which is good news... and i think letting r. carlos might be a good thing because its time to bring new talent.. and since carlos is 31... he isn't going to be playing as he is for long.... -----------------Ronaldo------------ --------Raul------------------------ Zidane--------Totti---------Beckham ---------------Davids--------------- -???----Samuel---Luisao----Salgado- --------------Casillas--------------- ... dont know about left back... and now i am really confused... but they need to get davids to fcuk with barca.... bring totti... as a galatico and a playmaker n sub for raul, ronaldo, zidane.... but what do you guys think??
Not that I don't believe that this quote doesn't come from a reputable source, but it is good policy to always include a verifiable link in the post. It gives you proof when your credibility becomes the subject of debate.
Luisao had a number of injuries when he first arrived at Benfica. Plus it took him some time to adjust to the team. But the last 8 weeks of the season, he was one of Benfica's best players. He is very talented, young, and seems to have won a spot in the starting lineup for Brazil. But Benfica will want more than the 5 million euros Real Madrid offered, especially after Real Madrid paid 22 million for Samuel. I'm guessing Benfica will want between 15 and 20 million euros for Luisao.
it's interesting that in almost all of the posts in this thread, Figo has been omitted, despite so many performances this season in which he was the most threatening midfield player. I'm curious as to why, since I don't believe anyone commented on it. Is it his age? Is it the media speculation during the season that Figo was interested in moving on? If he was sold, I'm guessing he would bring a pretty hefty price, and of course we've got Beckham who could play very well on the wing... Still, I'd rather keep him. Casillas Salgado Helguera --- Samuel Roberto Carlos Beckham --- Xabi Alonso/EmersonFigo Zidane --- Raul Ronaldo ---
I would keep Figo in the squad, my starting eleven just happened to be taken at a time when Joaquin would start and Figo on the bench. When what I'd like to see is those 2 players being switched whenever one is showing better form than the other. I guess I could have done this Joaquin/Figo, but for some reason I despise this / thingie
Camacho wants two players per position..so depending on the system he uses, it could determine the players they chase on the market. ...................................Ronaldo ..................................(Morientes) .................................Raul/Totti Zidane..............................................................Figo (Solari).............................................................(Joaquin) ....................?..............................Beckham ...................(Guti)..........................(Alonso) R.Carlos........Samuel..........................Helguera...........Salgado (Bravo).........(Mejia).........................( ? ).............(Minambres) The ? marks are for unknown players to be bought. ? in the def. mid....could be....Baraja, Vieira, Gerrard etc. I think Baraja and Vieira are off limits though. I really like Gerrard and there has been rumours surrounding him with other big clubs but Liverpool would have ot be crazy to seel him. If not I would move Alonso into that spot and buy Hargreaves who can be had cheap. The key is not having Becham and Guti on the field at the same time. ? in defence could be Mexes, Luisao, etc. Notice that there is no room for Pavon in my system...lol
I don't particularly like Real Madrid, but it looks to me like Camacho is on the right track. The 2 weaknesses this year were no depth and alack of defense. This years reserves were non-existent and this forced the "stars" to try to do everything. Real could take lessons from Milan on how to work in its reserves. Also, the signing of Samuel is very good. I watched a lot of Roma this year and their strength was their defense (despite all the talk of Totti and Cassano) and Samuel was the anchor. I just don't have much respect for Beckham or Figo. Neither showed much. Every time Figo touched the ball I knew he would be the last Madrid player to touch it. Almost all his goals were on penalties. And you can't beat the guy for crying and complaining. Beckham simply did nothing. Get rid of them and save a lot of money.
