    Real-Bayern Bay Area Viewing

Sorry this is not exactly quakes related...

Anyone know where I can watch Wednesday's CL match in the Bay Area? Per SoccerTV.com its being shown on ESPN Deportes Live as well as Closed Circuit TV (Delayed after Arsenal game)

If anyone has this answer I'd appreciate it... do any Bay Area establishments have ESPN Deportes?

Every soccer pub in s.f is showing it, Abby Tavern, Keezar Pub, Martin Macs, Mad Dog you just have to deside where you want to see it..

Any places in the South Bay showing it?

How are these pubs in SF showing the game- via Closed Circuit or do they have ESPN Deportes? I think it is tape delayed on Closed Circuit tv per soccertv.com

Basically want to take an "extended lunch" to watch it somewhere live in the south bay...

Call Setanta Sport: 415-546-1022 they will give you the listings for pubs in your area. I'm not sure how they got the rights. Just makes me mad ESPN2 isn't showing it. :(

Per Setanta Sport's website, these are the places that may be showing Real Madrid v. Bayern Munich (delayed, at 2pm), but I would call first to make sure:

    Bar/Venue Abbey Tavern
    Address 4100 Geary Boulevard
    City San Francisco, CA 94118
    Phone 415-221-7767

Bar/Venue Mad Dog in The Fog, The
    Address 530 Haight Street
    City San Francisco, CA 94117
    Phone 415-626-7279

    Bar/Venue Martin Mack's
    Address 1568 Haight St
    City San Francisco, CA 94117
    Phone 415-864-0124

    Bar/Venue Britannia Arms (Almaden)
Address 5027 Almaden Exy (off hwy 85)
    City San Jose, CA 95118
    Phone 408-266-0550

    Bar/Venue Britannia Arms (Cupertino)
    Address 1087 De Anza Boulevard
    City San Jose, CA 95129
    Phone 1-408-252-7262

    Bar/Venue Fibber Magees (Sunnyvale)
    Address 156 South Murphy Ave
    City Sunnyvale, CA 94086
    Phone 408-749-8373

As for the Arsenal-Celta Vigo game (live), the only place the website states is showing it is the Kezar Pub in San Francisco.

If it says the Mad Dog...I believe Kezar's on Stanyon (across from the park) is the temporary place, as the Mad Dog is closed until six on the weekdays for renovations.

Call the MadDog football hotline...442-7994. If they're showing it at Kezar's, it'll say on there.

Hotline does say that Mad Dog is closed until 6pm, and the 11:45 a.m. live game (Arsenal) and the 2pm taped game (Real Madrid v. Bayern) will be at Kezar.

Then taped versions again at 6pm and 8pm, respectively, at Mad Dog.

Anybody call yet to Kezar and, if so, what did they say the cover would be?

No one's answering at Keezar but the msg says 2pm & no mention of cover price..I'll be there unless the result is really depressing.

$10 cover, but I don't know if that applies to the 2pm game also. If you show up for the 2pm game only, I would hope they would let you in for free (or less than $10), especially since the 2pm game is delayed and on the Setanta "pub channel".
