I think it's only fair that we get 3 on their pitch as they took 3 on ours. Plus we owe them for spoiling our Chrismas supper.

i havent been able to watch any of the Reading games since Boxing day.......hopefully i get to see the match this Sunday. (Missed the 6-0 win against the Hammers! etc. goddamn.)

should be interesting now what with Kitson and Convey coming back from injury and Lita finally starting to score (4 goals in 4 games in a row is it?).

id put Seol back on the wing instead of Little. I know Little has been playing well recently, but IMO Seol is more technically skilled. Of course skill alone doesnt guarantee you a start, results do.

the GD stands 0 for Reading right now...9th in the table just 1pt behind Everton......would be nice to see the GD go into the + this Sunday.

I'm not going to address the fact that you're viewing is clearly jinxing the club, but while I think Seol is a great player, glad to have him, there is no way he's technically superior to Little. Physically superior, I'd agree. And Seol has very nice skill, but Little has mad skills. If he had speed, he'd be Giggs.
Beyond that, why would you sit anyone after a 6-0 win?
Well, maybe you would for this one, if both gunn and murts are out, or at least won't start. If murts can go full speed, he'll start, of course. so, back to the 4-5-1, I'd think.

    Marcus
    Bikey Sonko Inga Shorey

    Little Seol Harps Sids Doyle

    Lita

Convey on for Seol or little at 70, and we revert to a 4-4-2.

The Official Site is quoting Coppell as saying Reading won't change their attacking (I read 4-4-2) style for Everton. I think that puts Hunt on the field in place of Seol. Now who will be on the bench is an interesting question. The OS also said that Coppell is debating whether to pull Convey from 3 days of training for just the possibility of sub time during Sunday's game. Assuming Murty is fit to play and Gunnarsson isn't, I think the bench looks like Federici, Bikey, Oster, Long, and (I'm hoping) Convey.

And sounds like they are trying to arrange a reserves game next week to get Kits, particularly, more match fitness.

Shouldn't be hard to get the team up for this one, after the horrible performance in the last meeting.

If its 4-4-2, I wouldn't mind seeing Seol on the left. But I don't think that will happen, as I can't remember it happening this season. Wouldn't mind the 4-5-1 (which I'm guessing would operate as a 4-4-1-1?) mentioned before, either. Hopefully Murts can go.

Sylvester Stallone is going to be at Goodison on Sunday, and apparently Coppell is a big fan. He was impressed with his goalkeeping skills in "Escape to Victory" and said Marcus is running scared. :D

well, ive only missed a handful of Reading league games, about 4 in all out of 22 games (not a bad effort really ;)) and Reading is in the top half of the tables! Cup games, i havent watched any simply cos its not broadcasted over here.

As for Little, from the beginning of the season till around November, he was 2nd choice winger, and Seol started most of the games and was playing quality football. whereas Little then wasnt playing very well in general. Then Seol got moved up, had a couple of good games playing up front but gradually waned till Lita finally started scoring.

So Lita is on a roll now and after months of criticism it must be good feeling. Hope he keeps it up till the end of the season.

Little slowly but surely started to improve since the Liverpool game in Nov. Couple of games when he looked dodge, but his most recent form is good.

I would leave Lita on, when someone is on a roll you let them roll, and Seol wont get a look in at forward for while now that Kitson is about to come in to the picture. Hopefully Kitson will score ASAP. Kitson-Doyle-Lita rotation till something else changes ie. injury or dip in form.

So where to place Seol? Left wing instead of Hunt and Convey? I would perhaps put Seol on instead of Hunt if it were btw only those two, but i would also want Convey to have plenty of game time to give him a chance after a long long absence.

What about the right wing? Seol and Little. At the moment Little is playing quality, so no need to try and fix something that aint broke. But when one compare the two players, Seol is the player other teams would want to buy to strengthen their team.

The 4-5-1 formation above is interesting also and i wouldnt mind it for the Evertonian game, although i rather see a fit Murty, hes been a key player for Reading for many a game now, he surely be missed this Sunday. Lets hope it works against Everton.

Little had been out since February with an injury. The Liverpool game was his first league start, although he'd make 4 sub appearances.

Because of Little being injured, Seol started by default. Given how well he played last season, I think the odds are he'd have started as first choice this season too, had he been fit. Having two good players fighting for one spot is a managerial headache, but it's a much better one than having two bad players fighting over it.

just as long as Hahnemann doesn't have to break his arm to give Stallone the chance.

All I want is for Marcus to get a clean sheet, and run over and throw his shirt to Stallone. Then use his choice of a line from one of Stallone's movies. The only one I know off the top of my head is "ADRIAN!". Well, and the Russian guy saying something similar to "I must break you". But neither really..fit.

yes i guess evaluating a player when hes coming off from injury is not wholly fair. but he did as you say have four sub appearances (a couple of them very early on in the 2nd half) in September and October. He also had two cup games one of which he started for (the Liverpool one).

and as i said he was a bit dodge in certain games, like in the league match against Liverpool, although he played very well in the following match against Spurs. Since then its been a little bumpy with good games as well as bad games, and most recently he is again playing well.

i do rate Little, his crosses are sharp and he work rate is good, but he cant skin defenders or head the ball. Seol can cross, skin defenders inside out, head the ball, shoot with both feet, and is more creative with a better first touch, more physical and quicker.

but as i said, its best not try to fix something that aint broke, and Little is working fine down on the right wing.
