Okay, which is it? Muddled or murky? Obviously someone is wrong.

It's murky. The hometown newspaper, so long saddled with the "murky news" nickname, tries to avoid using that particular m-word. So when they say "muddled" in a headline, we're supposed to know that really means "murky."

Anyone else think it's sad in a comical sort of way that the lead word in the Chron title is "Wizards?" Guess in their minds, Kansas City is no more distant than way-away-in-the-boonies San Jose.

Not at all. Sometimes the Chron covers the Quakes better than the Merc.

Yeah, I saw that. I can see that our emails to him have had great effect. He now thoroughly relishes pissing us off. Very professional. What he doesn't realize is that 8,659 was, what, the 2nd best attendance for 1st round playoff matches in the league(?), and for a match on a rainy weekend that had a last-minute day/time change.
