With our injuries and defensive issues, makes no sense to waste Asencio on the bench. Every opposition knows they can target LV.
Exacfly now what? you wanted to compare two teams and managers for no one knows what reason. totally irrelevant, we are talking about Real and Ancelotti here, no one gives a fck about City but you somehow tried making a point for Ancelotti because he beat Pep on pens.
Not at all what i saw. From that angle, you're taught to either make sure the goalkeeper has clear vision or mark a man. We don't zonal mark. The only way a defender can leave a man and go cut an angle... is if there are more defenders than opponents so he can afford to because someone else can pick up his man. What people fail to see is that the key to defending a cross is putting pressure on the player that's crossing first... especially an extremely good one like Le Jeune. You can't take chances as a defender if the cross is free. Our issue is that our fullbacks do not defend and the crosses are almost all free from pressure. As a result, the crosser has all the angles available to him. Our fullbacks take nothing away. That 3rd goal was first and foremost on lack of pressure on the ball. The cross was extremely vicious. Should not have that angle to make that type of cross.
You are angry and confused, I was comparing an obsessive tactician with great players to a supposed manager with no tactics as constantly claimed on here, if our team were on a streak like his is, well, Carlo, would probably be fired already, this isn't just about the coach, the players have to shoulder some of the blame, seems pretty straightforward to me, right now we are second in the table with multiple injuries and we just came off a double, i'm not ranting
lol are you really using the game against dodtmund were we got outplayed for 60 mins? Oh bayern real lets go back 30 years in time while we’re at it. I’m obviously talking about his second period here. Cuz 2015 Ancelotti playing with Isco Kroos Modric James midfield was one of the best football I have seen this team play. But that’s 10 years ago, when you’re done you’re done.
That’s nonsense. He was closest to the ball which was in swinging. As a CB your taught that the one that is goal side attacks the ball there. He’s totally flat footed and ball watching
Anyone but LV. I'm curious to see whether Carlo persists, because at the moment there is no obvious solution. He is a decent backup all things considered, but he cannot be depended in an injury crisis.
He thought his job was to mark the player Infront of him , he had to clear that cross but since he is not a natural CB his instinct is not to protect space. We saw it at first goal as well. He should have positioned better so that Lucas could've stayed behind instead of coming closer.
So games that happened this season and this year are not "current" enough for you. Well I feel bad for you fair weather fan because winter is only getting started.
You are confused my guy, you are comparing apples with oranges. Pep has been their coach for what 7, 8 years? Ultimately you will get a season like this. Especially after dominating that league for 6, 7 years, they missed like 1 PL title.
Un polémico arbitraje impide la victoria del Madrid.#RayoRealMadrid— Real Madrid C.F. (@realmadrid) December 14, 2024 https://www.realmadrid.com/es-ES/noticias/futbol/primer-equipo/cronicas/rayo-real-madrid-14-12-2024 Official statement !!
Pep has won 1 Champions league trophy in the last 10 years. Carlo has won 3 in that time, knocking Pep teams out all three times. LOL. Clearly because you apparently rate winning the PL over winning the Champions League or La Liga.
We’ve got some great opportunities to rest key players in upcoming games, and plenty of time for Carlo to think what he wants to work on: 18th Dec - vs Pachuca in Qatar. 22nd Dec - vs Sevilla, La Liga. ** Christmas Break ** 3rd Jan - vs Valencia, La Liga. 6th Jan - vs Minera, CdR. 9th Jan - vs Mallorca in Arabia. ** Break or Atleti/Barca ** 19th Jan - vs Las Palmas, La Liga. All these games in bold I’d expect some very sensible squad selections, rest everyone who has tallied higher minutes. If we do that then by 19th Jan we’d have a better situation with fatigue.
Sorry to tell you that you might need glasses. Both are penalties. None of the defenders even touch the ball
You are right. I rely on what I read through "trusted" reporters including some that are extremely pro the Ancelottis. Carlo asked for a striker after Benzema left and then a CB after Yoro's deal fell through. Our needs far exceed those shy requests – but perhaps he did ask for more players. Otherwise, Carlo is content with the likes of Vasquez. No sane coach would have this dude as an undisputed starting RB before exhausting every possible option including Fortea who cannot possibly be worse than LV. I single out this guy because 15/16 past goals we've conceded have come from his side with direct or indirect culpability.
Meh. I'm more convinced now that Guler was fouled, but just not all that concerned about the non-calls in general. These guys need to weather the storms and the goals will come. Girona started really well last week but with nothing to show for it.
Utterly pathetic. Just SFTU 🚨 Ancelotti: "Last year, we didn't win here, and we won La Liga."— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) December 14, 2024 🚨 Ancelotti: "I am very satisfied. We are on the right track."— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) December 14, 2024 🚨 Carlo Ancelotti: "Tonight's draw is NOT as bad as the one against Las Palmas, or the one against Mallorca. This one was better."— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) December 14, 2024 🚨 Carlo Ancelotti: "We competed well tonight."— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) December 14, 2024
Intercontinental Cup final he will play all the regulars. Won't take a risk with a title on the line though it's not a significant one. Even against Mallorca in Super Copa, I'd be surprised if he rest key players.
