I'll try to do this for every game. Looking forward to seeing the team in their first ever away game!

I just posted in that other thread. Now I see it. I need to wear my glasses more often. Should be an interesting match. Tough loss in the previous match we had.

Saw Valasquez post a picture on Twitter, don't think he'll be at the match as he had a plane ticket to Salt Lake. Any word on injury or any of that?

We'll see how the match goes tonight. I think you have to have Forbes in. I've never been a big fan of Chavez. I watched Dallas a lot, and he was always disappointing. Tons of pace, but never had that finishing ability. Now that he's older I'd much rather have someone else out on the wing. So his injury really doesn't bother me all that much.

From what I saw of the first two matches it seems like there is good ball winning in the midfield (via Boateng) but they still lack that connection between the forwards. Hopefully, Menjivar will be that pivot point. We all saw how there was a lot going through Michel on the left. I like Michel, but we have gone through him far too much in my opinion. I think that's why you saw Samaras, in the first match, drop back more to receive the ball deeper in the midfield.

What do you know about Miami? I haven't really had a chance to do my studying.

I haven't seen ANYTHING about them, actually. I did find out that Sebastian is injured and since.he wasn't going to play they allowed him time to go visit family.
I'm expecting Samaras to play more this game. They have been getting him back to full match fitness.
I would also like to see Ian Svantesson, one of the rookies, get some time

Svantesson was a defender in college correct? Wasn't he listed as a forward for one for one of the preseason matches? I think Marcina is still trying to figure out the best 11 so far. I think Boateng really sets the tempo, and Yuma will be a like for like switch most of the time depending on the situation. I don't know a lot about Yuma, and have tried to do my research on him. Hoping to see a lot more fluidity in the attack. You kind of saw this with the way Forbes and Samaras linked up in the first match. I've never been a huge fan of route one football. I don't think the match against Edmonton was a testament of how the team will play given the circumstances of the red card. I was able to watch a lot of the Carolina match via stream on my phone, which was unfortunate. I too am hoping Samaras plays more. I've never been a big fan of Robbie Findley. Findley is an American striker through and through. Pace for days, but never had the finishing touch. I hope he hits his stride, as do most of our players. A lot have to get match fit, most have been out for quite some time.

I'd put Forbes to finish and Samaras to feed him. Then Findley out wide, he is the weaker link on the front third of this team. Like it or not, Chavez in the middle somewhere is going to be in your best eleven. Team looks good over all.

I just want to see the defense tighten up. Carolina was lighting them up in the 1st half of the last game. At times I believe Carolina was playing six midfielders?

I don't know, I wouldn't want Chavez pulling strings behind the strikers. There is Alvarez and Menjivar who seem to be better at that. Chavez was one of those players who I was super stoked when Dallas got him, but just disappointed by his play.

It seemed like they packed the midfield pretty solid. It seemed that way against Edmonton as well. We were forced to play out of the back quite a bit before the red card.

I'm having difficulty launching on NASL.com. Hopefully I can resolve them sooner.

EDIT: Got it! Or I got commercials at least. Didn't see any of those last week....

Have they said what the crowd was supposed to be? Obviously it's going to take a hit with the weather delay.

Giving the ball away cheaply in the midfield will do that. How many subs have we used?

For a team that's supposed to be attacking, we've sure been doing a lot of defending and counter-attacking
