Also good to see Derek Boateng's reaction to being signed by Rayo OKC THANK YOU THE LORD, MY TEAM, FAMILY AND MY FANS FOR MAKING IT ALL HAPPEN! GOD BLESS YOU ALL! https://t.co/ODaORPhyLZ— Derek Boateng (@BoatengDerek) January 25, 2016
True, good looking team at least on paper. I hope there's a good turnout at their games. They'll put on a quality show.
That would be awesome! I've heard there's a former Mexican Nat'l team member they are wanting very badly, but not sure if they can make it happen.
It's smart business get former national team players from the two dominate teams in the region. Does OKC have a large Mexican population?
They just signed Marvin Chavez, from Honduras, who played 25 timed for Los Catrachos, scoring 2 goals.
Good for them. They seem to be interested in putting something good together. Do you anything about the stadium? I'm assuming it's going to meet the MLS requirements as I bet they'd eventually like to join up or are they planning on just sticking to a NASL model for now and see where it goes?
Chivas US is an example of such. However, that's if their simply looking at ethic make up alone. If the players fit their budget, Style of play and level of play then it's a slam dunk. Having success is by far the most important element. However, having it and having a few players that play a large role in it be from the regions where your supporter hail from is only gonna help the cause.
The stadium is 6000 capacity, not quite MLS at all. I've wondered about it too, how the renovations are coming along, how it looks etc. All we have so far are the designs & seating charts on the Rayo OKC website.
