I feel so proud to have a thread I started become a sticky. Today is a great day.

Here's some good info from s.goff in another thread to get you thinking of more questions for Ray:

*Marco was not at practice today. The team says he's flying back tonight and will be at the game Saturday.
*Stewart practiced but still a game-time decision.
*Geddes out with back injury, so the roving goalkeeper was activated.

"I would like us to adopt something similar to the NHL that at least rewards a team that has played well enough to tie a game but reward the winning team more generously"

    My thoughts exactly.

"He will have to be taken under a big wing"- Hudson on Adu, if he comes to DC.

Perhaps Ray is hinting he will not be here next year?

    Also he gives Saturday's lineup:

"It will be Doug Warren in goal. Probably Ivanov Petke, Nelsen Prideaux. In the mid-field, Convey, Namoff, Etcheverry if he's available, Quintinella and Stewart and Cerritos up front"

I read that and I can only think that's Hudson-speak for "I don't want the little prima donna on the team and I'm not gonna play him."

Agreed, but what we have now is better than the shootout. Plus, the league has shown it is receptive to making rule changes... (shootout, clock ticking the right way, etc.)

Actually, I read that as saying "he needs coaching, and I'm a manager".

Ray Hudson: "We are, if anything, an overly ambitious attacking team."

That's it. Ray Hudson is an idiot. Does he realize this team no longer shoots the ball?

Overly ambitious attacking team my *#*#*#*#ing ass!

He's right about them not bunkering though. I've never seen it, especially not against Columbus.

I liked how he danced around the question by saying we have attacking PLAYERS, but never really commented on the tactics.

Hey, they asked my question ... when I originally typed it I asked about the OFFENSE, but the Post page erased my question and I had to type it again. I'm happy Ryan has been inspirational, I wished he had said Bobby finally pulled his head out of his ass :)

It was nice of Ray to address my Stokes and Carroll question. I just hope he can lead this team deep into the playoffs. We need the tradition back in DC.
