Wizards-Rapids game Friday Who's going to win? Gus "someone shoot me" St. Silva is calling the match. Diego is out. I think I'd rather see Colorado take this one.
Re: Wizards-Rapids game Friday You DEFINITELY want Colorado to win. KC winning puts us in more of a bind than KC losing.
Re: Re: Wizards-Rapids game Friday So if KC loses, we're in with a tie. If KC wins, we need a win to get in, is that it? I wouldn't mind the whole "tie and you're in" thing if the game could be tied after 90 minutes, but with overtime, I'd darn near have a heart attack watching the Fire try to hold on for a tie. With DC already out, only one more team is staying home. The thing to ask is who (of NE, NY and KC)we want to avoid seeing in the postseason. If KC doesn't scare us, and I don't think they should, we might want to see them win.
Re: Re: Re: Wizards-Rapids game Friday NY I would hate to see go in, it would make that management team last longer. Plus, they seem to be prone to petty thuggery as of late, nobody wants to watch that. NE seems to finally be doing something right after all these years, and with Twellman hitting the net, I'd prefer not. If a KC win means we're still in, then bring on the Meola. Of course, this could all be moot depending on Sunday's game. Last game of the season determining the last playoff spot in the league, it's getting interesting.
Re: Re: Re: Wizards-Rapids game Friday Heehee. That's what you guys said in 2000. Never underestimate Wizard power.
Re: Re: Re: Wizards-Rapids game Friday We're in with a draw unless KC wins or draws and the NE-MetroStars match ends in a draw.
At the Municipal game, Jamar was sitting right behind me. He was telling some guy the story of his tryouts in Italy, and he kept telling stories about people talking to him. Thing like: "Well, see, Jamar..." and " hey, Jamar...." He must've said his own name about 30 times in the ten minutes I heard him talking. Anyway, it just occured to me that there's no man crush going on here, Joseph is an alias. We're on to you, Jamar!!
Quite contraire! MetroScum beat NE (sorry, nothing personal Revs fans). FIRE beat C-Bus. MetroScum slide up to the second seed, Crew fall to six, we move to seventh. Oh what a tonic for this miserable season, playing an Octagonal Zamboni coached team in the first round of the playoffs.
If we lose, we're out. We have 34 points. The other teams we're concerned about have 35. If we lose, then even the LOSER of the Metros/Revs match advances.
Damn, that didn't work... Due to their redcard problems, NY will be without Mathis and will have to rely on a backup keeper whose GAA = pi. Looks likely that the Metrostars' freefall could surpass the Fire's.
The MetroStars would only be #2 seed if the combined margin of victory in the two matches were at least five goals.
