I’m not sure what the correct grieving period should be after a game like this past Saturday’s, but screw it. It’s time to look forward not backwards. The future is ahead of us. The team needs to play them one game at a time. It’s not over until the fat lady sings (I added that one special as a jumping off point for those so inclined should Bouna not recover).

While the Rapids will still mathematically be in the play-off race regardless of the outcome, this game has become much more important with the lack of points in L.A.

    Key questions:
    - Is Pablo still sick?
    - Are Conner’s knees still swelling?
    - Will Bouna recover?
    - Did I miss any hackneyed late season sports sayings?

I have to say that I'm really nervous about this one. Chivas are moving the ball extremely well right now. If we have to field the same lineup we started with on Saturday, we could be in some real trouble.

Pablo is crucial for this one in my mind.

The halftime show should be chivagirls vs rapids cheerleaders in a game of rugby.

    (Shown on the jumbotron)

I really don't expect the team to win this game, but hope for the best!

Concerned, very concerned. Chivas has won, what, six in a row ? and are playing very good, fundamental soccer right now. I'm interested to know who's going to man mark Michael Galindo as he is freaky good.

Im sure you can find a few of those type down Colfax:D

We need to treart this like a must win game, PLAYOFF noise and PLAYOFF tpye play on the pitch. Hopefully FC doesn't make a lame comment or motivational speech before the game that kill's the players, and makes us come out flat footed.

Pablo needs to play, regaardless of health. Same with Bouna. All injuries need to be covered up and played through right now, YOU cannot use the excuse of injuries going into a playoff run. Remember FC "No Excuses"....

My guess, Bouna & Conner will not be available. If that's the case, look for FC to go with the following starting line up.

    ............. Thornton ...........
    Ihemelu ... Erpen ... Petke ... Prideaux
    Cooke ... Pablo ..... Ballouchy ..... Clark
    ......... Herc & Jovan .......

If Bouna isn't available I want to see Justin Hughes. Snack Thornton is well past his sell by date.

I disagree. Little injuries that you can play through should be played through, but if its an injury that affects performance the team needs to decide if the injured starter is really a better option than the uninjured backup. For example, Bouna probably should have been subbed as soon as he was injured on Saturday, as bad as Snack is, Bouna was in no shape to mind the net after that.

Lose this game and "Who should be the next coach?" threads will sprout here faster than dandelions on a Denver lawn after a spring rainstorm.

By the way, there's rumors that the Milwaukee MLS bid is in the tank and Peter Wilt is available. Would certainly be a good choice for Rapids GM. (The rumors mentioned him going to Chivas but that seems like a strange choice for a hispanic-oriented club.)

the real question is, can we expect to see inflatable dolls dressed in Chivas colors in Section 114 on Sunday mocking the Chivas girls, as LA's Riot Squad did?

Whether he stays in Chicago or somehow ends up at Chivas Lite, that's a team looking for success. I think its safe to say he's not headed here...

the new GM should be named today if it already hasn't been. His name is Shawn Hunter and he has great credentials, almost too good for a MLS team

Since Hunter is President of AEG Sports and Chief Marketing Officer, I would guess it's the Galaxy. But why would we care?

    I'm confused...

Thanks for sharing. Did you miss that this is the Rapids forum and a thread about the upcoming game?

Can we please pull this discussion back to the Rapids - Goats Lite game? Discussion about the stripped knock-offs new GM should be held elsewhere.

    Thank you.

for the life of me I can't figure out why we're talking about it here if they aren't even talking about it on their own forum.
