The Rapids have committed to holding the first 6-8 rows of Section 126 -- that's the lower half of the section -- specifically for PASSIONATE fans who would like to cheer for the Rapids (and against Atlas) in this match. Tickets to this section are being offered at $20 each; that's a $5 discount off the lowest-priced ticket to this game. This discount is only being offered through next Thursday (October 17th), so act fast! To take advantage of this special offer, contact German Sferra at the Rapids at 303.299.1599 or by email at gsferra@mlsnet.com.
It's not a Nest, not a Mile High Club. Just a single section focused on cheering the Rapids and jeering Atlas.
So... how many of you have bought tickets to this game and this section? I know that myself, capone, Jeff and R/A are all set.
Well, that's what I meant really, potential new 'noisy fan' HQ. Sadly, my finances got tossed along with my nice Saturn last month (on 119, yikes!), so I'll have to give this game a miss. I should be able to look into season ticket renewal in the new year.
Tony, sorry to hear about the car. For those who can make it (and I totally understand why Tony can't), the more people that go to 126, the better chances of having it or another section (as discussed here: https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=13867&pagenumber=1) designated in the future are, from what I understand.
Rembember, Denver fans, that this may be seen as a little bit of the US-Mexico rivalry. Now, anytime a US club beats a Mexican club at ANY level of soccer in ANY match, it's good for US soccer, so get out there and support the Rapids in this match!
OK... so among people here that have responded publicly and privately, we're looking at about 16 people that (claim to) have bought tickets to this section for this match. We need -- and should have -- more people! For the first time ever, we seem to have a section which nobody has complaints about. The Rapids have moved forward and offered up this section (at a discount, too), now it's our turn to answer the call.
What greenie said. It's a perfect time to show that a designated section is deserved, for those on the fence that want a section. I can't say that enough.
Word is the Rapids have extended the deadline for discounted tickets to this section to Thursday, October 24th. I hope people are getting their act in gear and their ticket orders in.
There's one more who inquired via PM that's placing a ticket order this week. Keep the orders coming.
word I heard is the game was cancelled over the weekend. I imagine we'll hear more on Tuesday if this is true.
It better not be. I don't know about the rest of Colorado soccer fans, but I'm looking forward to this quite a bit.
Ticketmaster.com is now listing the event as "cancelled." Second time this year we've had an international cancelled. Any coincidence that these teams aren't from Europe?
I'm going to hold out hope that an official release indicates otherwise, but Ticketmaster listing it as off ain't a promising sign.
I received an email from the Rapids office that the game with Atlas is indeed cancelled. Look for an announcement soon this afternoon. That sucks! I was looking forward to cheering on my newly adopted home team, since I just moved to the area. Oh well, see you in the spring lads.
I haven't gotten it yet, but have also been informed of its cancellation. However do people still want to push for the bottom of 126 as a vocal supporters area for 2003? Works for me.
Cancelled, again!!! This blows and sucks at the same time. I'll go for 126 as the section for next year.
Section 126 Count me in, I will be buying 3 tix, and have amigos that are probably buying 2 for the season.
