Peguero has to be signed, and Zizi needs to get healthy.

If signed does Peguero have to get papers as well? Are we looking at a week long, month long, or season long process?

I'm a little concerned about Zizi's health, and wonder if he'll be the first to enter the doghouse this season.

Good questions but I believe Peguero has a green card, or American parents, or something. I thought I read that somewhere. However all I can find is this quote from the RMN, "Peguero has lived in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., with his parents and a sister since 2000." I don't know if he has a green card or what. I'm not the one to ask about this kind of issue. Where is Greenie?

Peguero's father is American. Probably the biggest question about his signing is if he'll accept the meager $24K the Rapids have for their final slot, plus whether he still has any ties (thus necessitating a transfer fee and additional headaches) with his old Haitian club.

Then the question becomes if that club is still in existence after everything that has gone down in Haiti in the past couple of months. If he's been living in Miami since 2000, I'm wondering if he really even has a club contract to worry about.

I guess it's a good thing that we are signing a guy for peanuts, but that $24k league minimum still hurts to look at... He won't be sending many checks home to support the family on that salary.

Looks like we got him on loan from his Hatian club with an option to buy at the end of the season. MLS may not like to do loan deals, but in this case I think it is the right way to go. If he ends up like Zizi, injured all year, he can be sent home and done here. However, if he nets 15 goals, we can buy him. I hope he pans out, he could be a great signing.

Anybody going to training today or tomorrow. Be interesting to see if Zizi is actually training at full speed or if Peguero is going to get the nod. If it started at 10, how much would I get to see if I got there by 11:30?

Cool, I'm more stoked about this guy than Zizi, based on his production already and what observers have said about him at the DU scrimmage.
