I'm not down with the Euro-wannabe jerseys. The old jersey, despite its oddities, had flavor. The color was strong and the design was simple. These new jerseys are pretty bland. I'm not bagging on the Rockies - I love going to games in Denver, and they're turning it up a notch. I just don't like the new jersey.
new Jersey Yeah I hate New Jersey too. that state blows. It sucks I have to drive there in order to watch the Metros.
I'm glad you're not bagging on the Rockies, they need some pitching but they'll do OK this season. Now the Rapids, they're the ones to watch out for.

Look at that the new uniform sparking changes already. In 7 years I've never heard anyone say they hate the Rapids; now there's the new "Black & Blue" and already 2 posts saying that in the same thread!
i really like the desigen. it's simple and something that everybody can be comfortable with. the emblem however is kinda cheezy. it's so basic -- it's almost like an ayso patch. but whatever. mls is getting the point, slowly but surely.
i like the new uniforms, personally (well, i'm an inter fan, so i dig the homage). They're WAY better than the wetsuits that Kappa made for them the last couple of years. Hopefully, the circle badge is the new logo for them. that would be nice. However, I would've liked to have seen them in green and black instead of blue and black. By the way, what is the away jersey going to look like? White/black? maybe have a green uni for away games?
I like those. Much better than the crap they have worn the last few seasons. Maybe they can incorporate the green into the away jersey....maybe even a 3rd jersey?? yeah right eh?
Like the jerseys, but I agree with some others that green should be incorperated somehow. The logo is ok, but where are the rapids. That design could be used for any team in the league. The Rapids should just change the other logo into a crest. That would please the Euros and the Americans. -VON
A thin green trim on the neck and the ends of the sleeves would be a subtle way to include green and set the Rapids apart from Inter. Similar to the green trim around the text logo in the center of the shirt. - Paul
Supposedly the away kits are all white with blue on the sides (under the arms) and the 3rd kit is all black with blue on the sides as well. The Rapids sent out an email today saying photos of all 3 jerseys will be posted at www.coloradorapids.com tonite simultaneously to the unveiling at an event downtown.
Actually, I think it's still around. For the last couple of years the Rapids jersey has just had the word "Rapids" on the front, but the river logo is still on merchandise and stuff.
