Our zero is related to square balls and drops when opportunities appear to be there to go to goal, theirs is maybe just bad luck?
Rubio damn lucky the ref didn't decide to even things up there. Yellow was the right call but a ref could have gone red as a "make up"
1-1 final. Fair result, but blah. Our attack seems to be "give the ball to Namli and hope he comes up with something."
1-1, better than last game, but not good enough. 8 points after 7 games is not where we should expect to be at this point. Especially being up a man at home.
Is there anything other to say than “Same ole’ Rapids,” which is so disheartening at this point. Winless in their last 5, including 2 of the last 3 at home. Whatever the reason, mediocrity is a deep deep hole we seem incapable of climbing out of.
If someone didn’t tell you one team finished the game with 10 men, you wouldn’t have known. Fair result - Rapids should have been down a goal at halftime - but that was a bad tie. Ouch.
I picked the wrong midfielder but otherwise.... Despite being up a man for 12+ minutes we were still outshot 13-10
Familiar place, outside looking in. At least I could watch the LA Galaxy game. They were a bit fortunate in a win. Also outside looking in.
I was at a family function so I haven't actually seen the game yet. When I looked at my phone and saw 1-1 I said "Hey, we didn't lose!" But it sounds like we dropped points based on the comments. I'll go back and watch it to see for myself. If Namli has become our only route of our attack, than it would appear Nicholson leaving has caused a serious problem with our ability to get the ball into dangerous places. Who knows what the hell is up with Benezet. I guess Padraig's copy of Football Manager didn't account for injuries. Why would we be playing Pablo ball now? What happened to the team we saw at the end of 2019 and the start of 2020? Did Padraig pick the wrong coach for the players/system? Between Trusty and Wilson, we have over a million dollars tied up in two CBs. One doesn't play, and the other would be barely good enough for USL 2. That's either a sign Fraser is a poor judge of talent, or that Padraig isn't doing a good job at signing players.
