In hindsight, knowing how the first two games ended, the Rapids would have been better to bunker and hope to only lose 1-0.
As of the 87th minute Burpo: 11 starts, 9 points, 16 GA, .82 pts/game, 1.45 GA/game Pickens: 19 starts, 31 points, 22 GA, 1.63 pts/game, 1.16 GA/game The good news is that Burpo is out of contract at the end of the season (the only Rapid in that situation)
Answered your own question. Actually if NE loses and Dallas draws the two teams would be FSL and DC, so that's why they still have a chance.
As you try to tell yourself that this team is any better then last years, think about Casey and Omar feasting on teams with depleted line-ups earlier in year and wonder if they hadn't had career years would this team really look better. I don't think so.
It may be that his next year is a team-held option, which means he's not out of contract but the Rapids don't have to keep him either. there may be (probably are) many players in this situation. Plus very few contracts are guaranteed in MLS so most players can be cut with no penalty.
I have to say, I feel sorry for them. To have such a disappointing end to the season. This team really fell apart. They never recovered after Colin and others got injured.
So, let's see...we haven't won a game in over 6 weeks, yet Smith is still bringing in the exact same players at the 65th and 85th minutes in every game. Wouldn't you at least try something different by now?
Gotta love it. Down 2-0 with 45 minutes left and you use your 2nd sub at the end of the game. And feel you don't even need to use the 3rd. What a team. The only good thing about if they don't make the playoffs is that I get money back for the unused playoff tickets.
Unfortunately, the genius dude with an accent got rid of the only quality we had on the bench when he dumped Cooke. Epic waste of a season. Clavijo should be laughing his ass off somewhere.
I don't disagree. I was merely trying desperately to find a silver lining on this mushroom cloud. FYP Well, that match was charming. meh.
Worst lost in RMC history. FSL beat the Rapids 4-1 at one point but at least the Rapids scored in that one.
I'm not saying it was a worse season than the last 2. I wanted Claviho gone as much as everyone else. But I am tired of the same old s*@t year after year. It is no wonder that they can't get anyone into the stadium. I am dropping 2 seats from my season ticket package for next year as I can't get anyone to come to games when they suck so bad.
