they're probably busy at the moment, but i betja they'd say your welcome if they were around.

i wonder if Hankinson will end up in the A-League.

It makes me wonder if Sigi accepted his youth job too quickly. If he had waited a few weeks he might have gotten a shot at this job - or C-Bus if and when that hammer drops.

Unless of course he wanted out of MLS grind and wanted to coach some kids. Which is fine. Just wondering more than anything.

And another - where does that genius Dan Counce come out on this whole thing? This Rapids ship has been heading downward the last 2 years and he's been doing the navigating.

Hey chump, let me remind you Mooch lead us to our past glory (West Champs in '97) well before Fake Salt Lake Highlanders 05 was a twinkle in Checketts' eye...

The press release reads in part,

"The playoffs were the last straw. If he can't figure out a way to beat that idiot, Steve Sampson, he shouldn't be coaching at this level.....

Have the Rochester Rhinos hired a new coach yet?

I'd expect him to find a nice, cushy job somewhere in the NCAA. Frankly, I think that's probably not a bad place for him.

Ding Dong! The Witch is dead. Which old Witch? The Wicked Witch!
Ding Dong! The Wicked Witch is dead.
Wake up - sleepy head, rub your eyes, get out of bed.
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead. She's gone where the goblins go,
Below - below - below. Yo-ho, let's open up and sing and ring the bells out.
Ding Dong' the merry-oh, sing it high, sing it low.
    Let them know
    The Wicked Witch is dead!

We don't know who's really been picking the players but the SI situation has been awful. Zizi, Powell, that French dude... Geez, there's not a lot of young talent on the team but the brain trust has been acting like all they need is just one more worn-out player that nobody else wants and then the Rapids will be a contender. It's not an ideal situation for the new guy since the talent cupboard is looking a bit bare. This is more than a one year project. but it's time somebody got started on it.

He apparently is undergoing an annual review.

If we get someone who can see some good talent in the draft we might be able to load up. We don't have many pics, but there's only one guy still around from Hanki's last draft so hopefully we can beat that record.

Maybe Wynalda could mention that he's going to be appointed coach during the MLS Cup broadcast? ;)

I heard he was asked to be Bruce's new assistant, but turned it down because he didn't think World Cup Qualifiers were important enough to head to Columbus a week before the match.

Wow, (I'm not suprised) this is good news for the Colorado Rapids and their fans! I know they wanted him out!

I think Octavio Zambrano would be a good coach for this team. He brings offense and flare, the two biggest elements the Rapids need. Or as someone suggested in a previous post: Marcelo Balboa. Look how the last MLS star-turned-coach came out!

I don't know, what are you implying? A. That Hanki is going to Rochester and the lawyers told Ercoli not to show? B. That Ercoli is coming to Colorado and he didn't want to tell people before Hanki was fired?

I guess the though of actually loosing to Sampson in the Playoffs was just too much for KSE to swallow.

Mr. Hanki can now be flushed down the toilet.

    IT'S ABOUT TIME KSE!!!!

    (better late than never).

More likely, Balboa for Rapids GM if/when Counce is let go.

KSE should dump Counce, install Balboa as the GM and let him bring in a coach.
