http://www.coloradorapids.com/ViewPlayerGallery.aspx?gid=20 The Colorado Rapids launched a new feature/pics of players and fans. If you look at some of the people shown-like Kendall [who is a KSE employee] looks like they are payed advertisers. I could never see somebody like Young Joc or T. Pain cheerinf and wearing a Rapids Jersey. But thats just my opinion. Com' on Rapids show some passion and show the true fans, the 4,000+ season ticket holders... *AHHHH-can someone change the thread title and fix my spelling
That shit is so lame. OMG if so and so likes something shouldn't I got and lick the bottom of that somethng's feet now? Now if we can get Robert Smith in a Rapids Jersey, I'll get my season tix today.
IMO Nick Cage is the only legit celebrity fan in that group as I used to see him at Rapids games going back to 2002. Nelly Furtado was getting a MLS jersey from whatever town she was playing in because she likes soccer and that Forza song was used as the Euro 2004 theme song I think. Then there is the radio DJ, at least he was actually at a game.
The radio DJ that is at the games, does the PA. He does KS 107.5 morning shows. And smoetimes talks about the Rapids.
Bonj, the dude from Opie gone bad has not only sung at numerous games, but he can be seen at a few every season. As for his celebrity status, that could be questioned. Now where is the pic with Mark Stout? He was a fan before he left his morning show. You could always here him getting bashed on by the cro-magnon uni-brow, meathead a.k. Willy B that thinks soccer is "gay."
I didn't know there were any celebrities from Colorado. Oh I remember: Rosanne and Don Cheadle (at least for a couple years at East HS).
Nick Cage has been at Rapids games for a long time - at least back to our green days. I'm still hoping that Opie Gone Bad is going to play after a Rapids game this year. I wanna hear Jake sing something besides the national anthem at the stadium. Now if we can just get all the rappers to do a little gang bangin', then we'll have some real street cred. Color me, on the whole, unimpressed.
I'm going on the radio tonight. I'm about to become a Rapids celebrity fan. Denver isn't a celebrity town. If anything, you become a celebrity here by being a professional athlete. No need for the Rapids to try and be like LA. That's not our bag, baby.
