Solid road win with a heavily depleted roster. Wasn’t always pretty but given our injuries and international losses, 3 points on the road is a great result.
1421686274830737411 is not a valid tweet id Got off the plane last night, and crossed my fingers before looking at Twitter to find out the result. It worked Looks like the Rapids came out in a 5-4-1, any thoughts on that? How about the play of Anderson and Larraz? Were there water breaks?
Here's the Shini goal in case you missed it! https://t.co/8hHgyTOEQI— Centennial 38 (@C38sg) August 1, 2021
I went out to eat at a place that has Altitude so I got to watch the first half albeit worth no sound. Anyone have analysis on the 2nd half? Good win for a depleted Rapids .
Anderson came in for roughly 10-12 minutes at the end and saw very little action, so he wasn’t overly impactful, good or bad. Larraz came on after Anderson but was actually fairly active. Again, not much of an impact but did seem to be around the ball more.
Agreed on both. They didn’t have a ton of action to their way, but they made the most of it. Anderson had some good defensive positioning and won the tackles he needed to win. Larraz? Very lively. I am confident Larraz is going to grow into a great MLS caliber midfielder. I think he has the potential to grow further than that, but he’s still a rookie with very few minutes so it’s hard to say. Larraz also had a banger of a reactionary shot too from outside the box that wasn’t too far from missing the target and would’ve been a beautiful goal to tally as his first. From last night, and what he’s done this season, I’d say he’s very similar to Price in terms of ball control/vision/strength in challenges, but he’s got the work and run rate of Cole. He’s kinda like a good mix of both. I’d like to see him get more than 7min in a game moving forward, that’s for sure.
I thought Price was solid. Won balls and simple passes that retained possession. Barrios again led the offense. Man, in that heat, not sure how he kept it up. And as predicted, Shin scored. He has to make things happen if he wants to stay on the pitch.
