If I counted correctly, Rapids 2 have lost 9 of 15 matches, including 7-0, 5-1, and 4-1 and been outscored 40-20. One of the wins and one of the draws came with mostly Rapids players during the international break in June. While I don't necessarily care much about the reserve team's results, losing 9 of 15 and being outscored 2-1 doesn't give much hope that they have players who will help the senior team anytime soon.
