I'm uninspired but the roster is severely lacking tough to parse out responsibility here -- I'll just keep blaming NRod for the time being
I think we’ve actually hit the point where we can no longer blame Nelson. That is a net positive, even if it means the people picking players right now still suck at it.
Common enough mistake. 'Specially 'round these here parts (Arshakyan). So, when does Collier get shipped to Armenia?

Pauno taking Sean Johnson to the side and asking him if Arshakyan didn’t remind him of Ibra is one of my favorite stories
Bite your damn tongue! [emoji34] As long as Nelson Rodriguez is drawing a paycheck from the Chicago Fire, he deserves blame for...something, anything, everything! (He probably has little to do with player acquisitions and nothing all to do with the on field product, game in and game out, of course)
Unfortunately we are basically an expansion team but without the free funny money you get when you first start.
This thread fell to Page 18. Time to discuss? 2020 5 8 10 33 gf 39 ga 2021 1 1 5 4 gf 11 gf 6 wins 9 wins 15 losses 27 points out of 30 games, .9 ppg I don't know if Wicky is a problem, since we rarely hear about him, but that is probably part of the issue.
Wicky and Heitz are on the clock, rn. Mansueto isn't a trigger-happy guy, but he's gotta see the same writing on the wall that we're seeing.
Other than Pineda's absence I don't know what other strings Wicky could have pulled. Players were in positions to succeed, and they didn't. I believe at times they play too direct, but I also believe they're trying to play attractive attacking soccer. I'd like to see more commitment to defending, but that's me.
Heitz decided to give Beric who barely scored in a farmers league ********ing DP money...a year in and teams have already figured out how to mark him...
I guess this thread can be closed. Under Rafael Wicky, the Fire were: 2021 27 0.96 28 7 15 6 28 43 -15 6-5-5 1-10-1 2020 23 1.00 23 5 10 8 33 39 -6 4-2-3 0-6-5 51 games played, 12 wins, 14 draws, 25 losses, .98 GAA, -23 Goal Differential. That is pretty dire. I certainly do not think Wicky was the the problem, but he was one of the problems.
