The thing is there hasn't been much legislation. Nearly everything has been done by executive decision. It's not impossible to ⌘+Z the entire Trump administration on Day 1, A.T. You just have to have the political will and a spreadsheet of all the dumb shit they've done since 2016.
1. Political will isn't going to stop the actions of individuals emboldened by Trump at this time and angsty enough to continue them even if he loses. The paper cuts aren't going to be made illegal. We need to be able to admit that we can't control the 800-lb gorilla, and that said gorilla will prey on the most vulnerable despite any legislative efforts. 2. See #1. 3. See #2. 4. The Dems aren't going to win either house by enough votes to overcome the milquetoast Dems unwilling to go for the jugular. I have a tremendous amount of respect for the GOP's ability to mobilize their rank and file, as well as their political ability to work together as a well-oiled unit.
Hey remember when Obama was the potential nominee for the Democrats and you spent weeks blabbering about how the white people in this country were too racist to ever elect a black man and then when Obama won not one, but two elections you spent alot of time in self reflection acknowledging that you were wrong and maybe your experiences dont speak for everyone? Good times. Your opinion is worth alot.
Your quote is so vaguely associated with what I actually wrote above that I'll just answer what you posted. My opinion is worth as much as anyone's here, more than most on most issues. I also predicted Trump would win. So I'm batting .500. Anyone who doesn't get paid to predict elections and regularly does better probably has social problems. I didn't spend any time in self-reflection. I was banned from the forum in November 2008 for an exchange with a mod that didn't involve a single profane word. The mod was not banned.
Yes, there will still be those who act like they don't care, but under the current admin, they won't care to hide it as much as they would when the rules change. Rapists will rape. But knocking back the ********up rules by DeVos and the WH will allow victims better recourse to get justice.
I’m fascinated by people who come to Internet forums to simply have their political views echoed and than react with shock and disgust when they learn that others have the temerity to disagree with their half baked thoughts.
And I am amazed that people like you think I am here to have my opinions confirmed. Your head is thicker than Josey Altidore's.
From 2010. Still funny. http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/04/alot-is-better-than-you-at-everything.html
These rules are much more fair. If the accused has no right to cross-examination, he has no ability to disprove the allegations. If you believe in any type of due process for the accused, you should be in favor of cross-examination. If you think that men should be expelled from school based on nothing more than an untested allegation....I question your fundamental sense of fairness.
About ********ing time! https://www.nbcnewyork.com/news/loc...axwell-arrested-jeffrey-epstein-aide/2495762/ Jeffrey Epstein Confidante Ghislaine Maxwell Arrested on Sex Abuse Charges
Of course, Maxwell's old man was a scumbag of the highest order... https://www.theguardian.com/media/greenslade/2011/nov/03/pressandpublishing-daily-mirror In the early autumn, BBC1 broadcast a Panorama devoted to Maxwell's problems. I acted as a consultant. Meanwhile, the Financial Times was running stories that questioned whether Maxwell could afford to pay his debts. It was clear that Maxwell was moving money around between his companies while desperately attempt to stave off demands from banks, notably Goldman Sachs, to repay loans. This was the harsh financial background to his sudden decision to take a break alone on his yacht, the Lady Ghislaine, which was moored in Gibraltar. ... At that time, of course, we had no idea about the story that would break almost a month later to reveal that Maxwell had committed a massive fraud by plundering his employees' pension funds in order to shore up his companies. Despite good work by many people at the time and since the legacy of that plunder still has an effect on Mirror pensioners (of whom, I'm about to be one). Do you notice the name of his yacht? 'Lady Ghislaine'? So when her name started appearing in print about Epstein, some of us thought, 'Ah... that makes sense'.
So I found this tweet interesting. Until now, I hadn’t realized the Epstein investigation was being run by the SDNY Public Corruption Unit rather than the unit that normally runs sex crime investigations. Lends a whole lot of credence to the idea that there are going to be a shit ton of public officials that get rolled up in this assuming she doesn’t get suicided as well. SDNY just announced the Ghislaine Maxwell case - like the original Epstein case - is staffed by the Public Corruption Unit.I worked at SDNY and did sex trafficking cases. They do NOT run out of Public Corruption - unless there is some potential angle against a public official.— Elie Honig (@eliehonig) July 2, 2020
