    in your order of prestige.

I think I got them all.

    US Open Cup
    MLS Cup
    MLS Supporter's Shield
    CONACAF Champions' Cup
    SuperLiga

    I'm going with:

    MLS Cup
    MLS Supporter's Shield
    CONCACAF CC
    SuperLiga
    US Open Cup

    Rank of prestige:

-MLS Cup(The aim of every team every year)
-US Open Cup(The oldest trophy in American sports, the only other trophy even casual MLS fans would know of, MLS teams have been playing in it since the beginning of the league)
-Supporter's Shield(The toughest trophy to win, the true best team in MLS)
-Concacaf CC(Only rabid fans even know it exists)
-Superliga(This will rise with the coming years, but as of 2007 it's just a friendly tournament until next season)

You could theoretically toss in Copa Sudamericana in there since it's possible for a MLS team to compete there (a la DC United this year). Also, there's the Club World Cup, though an MLS team has yet to win the CCC and qualify for that.

I say, we should beg FIFA for 2 Champions league slots and than we would have a chance at true prestige.... And since that will never happen...Can we get a slot in the Copa Libretedores? (I'm sure I spelled that wrong)

But my two cents on the cups we have...

    1.CCC
    2.Supporters Sheild
    3.MLS
    4.Superliga
    5.U.S. Open

    I'd rank them like this:

    1. Club World Cup
    2. CCC
    3. Supporter's Shield
    4. Copa Sudamericana
    5. SuperLiga
    6. MLS Cup
    7. USOC

Italics = tournament a team has to peform well in another tournament to qualify for (i.e. no automatic MLS rep)

Yes, I really have the MLS Cup that low. I don't consider that trophy to be all that significant compared to (1) a good regular season or (2) success in international play. But that's just me. Not that I'd be upset with any of the top 6, mind you.

    There's a huge gap between #6 and #7 IMHO.

I would think without doubt of all the potential trophies an MLS team could win there would be no argument that winning the Club World Cup would be #1.. At this point, followed by Copa Sudamericana..

Winning those trophies would mean a lot more for the team and the league than another MLS Cup or US Open Cup, by far..;)

I don't think the Club World Cup is the ultimate just yet. Just like in Europe with the Super Cups and Charity Shields, it's about winning something else first, and so for some reason they lose in image and value (the Club World CUp may change, but I only ever watched the one Liverpool were involved in).

To the guy talking about places in the Champions League...you have to beg UEFA, not FIFA for that. It's UEFA's baby. And although I would think it fun to travel to New York for a Champions League game they chances are vitually nil. Sorry

    US Open Cup

    I won't even rank Superliga.

Someone correct me, but I think when the Galaxy won the CCC in 2000 they qualified for the Club World Cup/Championship, but the tournament was canceled and wasn't held for three years.

When DCU won the CCC in 1998 there was no Club world cup I believe.

Concacaf Champions Cup (winner gets invite to CWC where prize money even for the last place time is really good)
    MLSCup
    Superliga (Respect)
    OpenCup
Supporters Shield (in my eyes should be more important, but there is no prize money or benefit really of winning it, should be ahead of US OpenCup atleast)
