from year 2000 England had the chance to win a big title with these coaches: -Keegan -Sven -Mclaren -Capello -Hodgson
We were the second best side in the tournament in 2002 in my opinion. Unlucky to be in the same side of the draw as Brazil.
Sven Capello . . . . . . . . . Keegan McClaren . . Peter Taylor's sole game . . *Vast waves of nothingness* . . . Stuart Pearce's sole game . . . . Hodgson
Yes, funny post, but nobody can think seriously that McClaren hasn't been the worst. My list: Eriksson Hodgson Capello Keegan McClaren
Why not? Roy got far more time to create a team and took us to two tournaments without even a plan of how to play. McClaren even though he was abysmal had to deal with the biggest amount of injuries during a campaign that I can ever recall for any nation. Because of the longevity of Hodgson's reign he is the worst for me.
Agreed but i would go futher because the performance and results of the team over the last two tournaments make him the worst manager we have ever had, even worse than Graham Taylor's England reign and the farce of Euro 92, because the disaster of the last two tournaments supersedes anything Taylor did while in charge of England
I agree. It's the FA's fault though. He should have been let go after what was a pathetic WC. The worst coached team there and he kept his job with no qualms.
1. Sven - Not a bad manager. Set us up in good areas to succeed, but the players couldn't pull through. 2. Capello - Good tactics and plan, but terrible tournament manager. 3. Keegan - Bad luck in 2000. 4. McClaren - Had to deal with a lot of injuries, but he had so many stupid tactical and formation changes. 5. Roy - Never had a clue after Euro 2012.
