Looks like Beasley will be starting off the season on the wing and on the pitch!

Is it me or is every UK announcers legally bound to say the word "glorious" at least once a game?

Game starting off late due to fans still entering the stadium.

beas with a one v one with a 40 yard run. dtried to run by the keeper and his touch let him down. Didn't put off a shot.

both goal keepers would not cut it in MLS, btw, judging from the first 10 minutes.

Beas with a nice cross. Boyd should have scored.

btw, beas is murderd on the cross but no call.

Me thinks beas will do well until he is quickly injured.

Beasley looks good, he's doing the stuff he normally does well. I've never watched the SPL but if this is an indication he'll get hacked to death.

Beaz got a good chance but hit it right at the keeper. Then he has a man wide open in the box and misses him on the cross. He's giving the defense fits with his speed and is getting some free kicks so overall he's playing well. Hopefully he can get a goal in the 2nd half.

Beasley is down. He was making a run and a guy tripped him from behind. Smith is pissed.

I have never understood this. Most of the time I am in agreement with the way Euros do things but this is baffling.

Ferguson scores off a bad mistake by Tokely, who has been pretty horrible. 3-0.

Its over, 3-0, Beasley goes the full 90. Decent showing from him. His pace caused some problems. Probably should have done better with his chances.

It's a good way to prevent stampedes.

Unlike American stadiums that have more gates than people (it would sometimes seem), many older Euro stadiums are ill equipped to deal with a rush of people trying to get in at the last minute.

Rather than risk tragedy, it's probably a good idea to hold off the start for 10-15 minutes.
