So Rangers are going into the new season with new American owners. Our first competitive game is a champions league qualifier against Panathinaikos and we've signed 7 new players. The expectation is to win. We've only played 1 friendly so I've no idea what we will look like. My feeling is this game is coming too soon. I hope I'm wrong.

If you'd told me we would win 2 - 0 before the game I would have been really happy. Given we could have been 0 - 3 down at half time it's a great result. You can already see we are going to be much more possession based under Martin. What a European debut for Findlay Curtis.

Panathinaikos 1 - 1 Rangers. So we go through 3 - 1 on aggregate to the next CL qualifier.

How we came out of that game without losing is down to Panathinaikos being awful in front of goal. Just awful.

You can see the manager wants us to play a more possession based football and that should be the case. But I can't help thinking of Ten Hag's Man U. When we're out of possession you could drive a double decker bus down the middle of the pitch. In possession nobody was moving in front of the player with the ball to offer options. It was so static. There's still a lot of work to be done to integrate all the new players and play the way the manager wants to play.

It's going really well at Rangers for the new owners and manager.

    - Worst start to a domestic season in 36 years.
    - Worst record every over our opening 9 games. (We've only won 3. None on them are in the domestic league.)

    It's really toxic already.

Where to start. It's hard to name anything going right.

    - Recruitment. None of the new players look up to the task of playing for Rangers. None of them look like they can handle the pressure or expectations. It just looks like a lack of knowledge and arrogance from the director of football and whoever else was involved in those decisions.
    - Manager. I've no idea what he is trying to do.
    - New owner. They've created this situation. If they turn up for the Old Firm game on Sunday and we lose then they will be in the firing line.

shame Soutar couldn't stay onside...would have been nice to get 3 points..think the 1 point saved his job for a week or 2...or are they going to ride out the season with him??
Hope the fans in Glasgow are giving them a piece of their minds!!

We are hopeless. The manager is out of his depth. The players don't look like they are up to the pressure of playing for Rangers. It's such a mess.
