Far Cry 4 is such a squandered opportunity. They crafted an interesting story outset, a charismatic villain, a beautiful and rich world, satisfying shooting and other environmental mechanics and then the story missions are so annoyingly dumb and you don't even see the villain in action for the first 20h after the prologue. You are supposd to make these "moral choises" but the problem is you only know the two characters that you are either supposed to support or oppose on the surface level. Their trust in you as the hero is not earned. It all feels just bad. It's one of those instances in which the game would have been far better if the developer had just chosen and crafted a story-line for you. This is examplified by the two side-characters whose story missions are among the best and most fun in the game. Aside from the main story missions and these forced moral dilemmas it's a fun game and really quite beautiful.
Hellblade Senua's Sacrifice currently available DRM free for 8.99€ on GOG. Strong recommendation from me! https://www.gog.com/game/hellblade_senuas_sacrifice_pack
Been catching this guy rage quit Elder Scrolls Online has been lots of fun... Great stuff The thing is, he won't take the time to figure out what's going on by the looks of it so when he dies, it's the games fault apparently
This was my guild doing Veteran level 'Hel Ra Citadel' on the yank server a while back... I'm Andanother, (on account of I couldn't think f another name). On the 'split' part, (where the group splits into 2), I actually went on the upper group and we didn't die... unlike some people I could mention This is from the point of view of the 'tank' guy.
been playing terribly on the warehouse demo for the Tony Hawk remake and I blame playing as Tony Hawk why I can't get my old high scores. NOT! because of my age and slow response. edit to add: I also played some early access of Grounded and that game is fun simply for it's Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. totally worthy of a free experience if ya got game pass
Wasteland 3: Baldur's Gate set in a snowy post-Apocalypse, only with XCOM 2 style combat mechanics. This is like if my wheelhouse had another tiny wheelhouse in it and if you opened the tiny wheelhouse, you'd find Wasteland 3 in there.
I loved the Mafia I original despite it's really tough difficulty. I don't preorder games but I think I'm going to get this at launch.
everyone needs to pick a corner and use interupts on the channeled overhead casts going from memory.. good luck with hard mode, it’s brutal (I am selling my account if you know anyone who might be interested.)
Yeah, I've done hard mode vet a few times on PUG's, (would you believe ), and, as you say, it can be 'problematic', as they say. I usually manage to stay alive because, well... I'm often on healing duties. Also I'm ranged so I stand a long way away from the guy. My guild's more a social and casual one so our dps isn't the highest and that makes trials difficult because they take so long to complete something is bound to go wrong at some point. When you say, 'selling your account', can you do that? I suppose if folks get all the high level stuff it would be worth it in some respects. If you'd told me that a couple of years ago I might have been interested But, having said that, having the stuff isn't really the issue. it's knowing how and what to do with it, isn't it. Most of the folks I play with already have high level stuff in terms of gear.
Well, technically gaming companies don’t like it as in their mind you are leasing a character so to speak but that is hog wash in my eyes. A buddy of mine sold his for $600 but mine is nowhere near that much. For ESO it’s mainly to avoid the champion point grind so a new player can hop in and join their other level friends, etc. decent stock of gold and crowns along with rare items helps too
New Xbox coming Nov. 10th. The Series S will be 299 and the Series X will be 499. Microsoft will also have a deal where if you pay 25/35 bucks a month for 24 months you can get the console and ultimate game pass. Plus Microsoft announced that EA Play/Access is coming to game pass (both console and pc) at no additional cost. edit to correct my misunderstanding
Finished Wasteland 3. Enjoyed it a lot. If you enjoyed Baldur's Gate back in the day and if you like XCOM2 style combat mechanics, you should definitely check it out. Its soundtrack also has its share of earworms, none more so for me than this cover of Land of Confusion: Will let it rest for a while now but I am definitely interested in a second playthrough.
Hang on.. someone paid 600 bucks for a levelled up guy? Some people must have more money than sense is all I can say.
If you haven't played these two games yet I strongly recommend both of them as they are currently on a Steam sale:. Metro Exodus for 15,99€ Resident Evil 2 remake for 19,99€
Couldn't help but start another playthrough already of Wasteland 3. Going to make different choices and use different companions to see how it changes the outcome. The fact that I actually know what I'm doing combat-wise from the get-go this time around is already changing a lot of things.
Can't think of a more retarded mechanic than "bliss bullets" in Far Cry 5. Oh, you want to me to stop exploring your beautiful and fun open world to advance your plot? Let's spawn dozens of enemies in a circle around you and after one hit you with a single bullet out of a rocket launcher or sniper rifle you will be "drugged" and captured.
Hopefully it will just bring more money into development and performance enhancements, some of which are needed, (particularly in Cyrodil in ESO ).
I got a Series X through Best Buy. After the initial cluster mess an hour or so later they had another batch up for pre-order.
Nice! I ended up going the old school route and went to Game Stop at 6am. I can't remember the last time I stood in a line outside Gamestop I lucked out and got a PS5 at Target during the panic
