Or, fearing Comunism these days makes about as much sense as fearing the Inquisition or the Mongols..... its stupidity on stilts
I expect Putin told him "No, I'm not a commie" and Trump thinks there's no reason to doubt him, because he's really really really stinkin' rich.
In fairness, whatever else he is these days Putin isn't any kind of Communist. Putin is wayy closer to a Bismarck with anger issues than any variant of Vladimir Lenin....
I suppose things differ radically from sense and necessity in the realms of importance, For me, it would be important if I had an electrical zapper attached to that idiot Jesse Watters which I could use to pound him with a strong 5 second zap of voltage every time the nonce said somethign damnably stupid or pasted that imbecilic smile on his dud face
The Argies look pissed and frustrated that the game isn’t as easy as they’d been led to believe. A nice headed goal from the Egipto’s about 15 minutes in and a good organized defense with a couple of good saves. But can they hold on. Oh and The Golden Boot guy had another PK saved. Not helpful at all.
The Mitch McConnell story is hilarious. Braindead for 3 weeks apparently....wife runs away to avoid declaring him dead...Republicans hoping to hold out til August 3 to avoid a special election. The worst party and the worst people.
Question: In cases where a member of Congress isn't showing up to do their job - or anything else - for long periods, is the Governor of the state not able to demand "proof of life" (or proof of ability to serve I guess)? Any recourse to break through this nonsense?
There is no formal mechanism for removing and replacing an absent or incapacitated member of congress, they must resign or be expelled by the entire body at this point. The situation has gotten out of hand here with clearly impaired old people holding down big governing responsibilities. We're past due for legislation imposing term / age limits on all three branches.
True that, a more likely scenario is a constitutional amendment based on a national referendum by the states. But still a long shot.
As I said to someone yesterday - if she talked about someone being brain dead - take it to the bank. She is a prima facie expert there....
That's not fair to Chuck Grassley. Rather like Ronaldo, he wants to become the first living corpse to keep serving....
Lumpy says he ended a war where 15m people had their heads chopped off. No one is quite sure where that war was, nor indeed, the headless bodies or the mountain of skulls. Still, sounds realistic.
