It's crazy here in Huntington now. Who'd have thought when I was covering the team for the newspaper 12 years ago that this is where we'd be? I thought we looked the better team for the vast majority of the game last night, though IU had some great chances. The woodwork was our 12th man last night for sure.

The World Cup every two years? Well, if the Saudis and their billions of dollars get their wish, it's far from the first time FIFA was bribed. https://www.si.com/soccer/2021/05/19/world-cup-two-years-fifa-saudi-arabia
Everything old is new again: Super Leagues, biennial World Cups... Man. It's like the whole 30-year cycle thing in fashion crosses many boundaries.
I'm shocked - shocked I tell you - that this hasn't been mentioned yet: U.S. Soccer, MLS-owned Soccer United Marketing parting ways after nearly 20 years EDIT: Am I allowed to link to ESPN yet, or would y'all prefer the Soccer America link?
This is a big deal. It could be good news, depending on what is really behind the decision and what strings will still actually be attached between MLS and US Soccer. We will probably never hear the real story about what made this decision happen. Waiting to hear a more substantial quote from Dong Arbor.
I hate to break it to ya... https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/usmnt-the-berhalter-era-pt-1.2090677/page-59#post-39575239
Somewhere, @kgilbert78 just got jealous. I'm guessing the Canton Invaders and Cleveland... Force? Crunch? are included. The Invaders moved to Columbus for a year, then moved to somewhere in Canada, IIRC. Miraculously, the Wave is still around. The OG Blast terminated in 1992, but resumed in 1992 under another name, before taking on the Blast name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltimore_Blast
Nah, I was never a big indoor fan. Enjoyed playing it, of course. As a striker, there's lots more chance to score.
"While it would not be our place, legally or otherwise, to comment on those proceedings as they pertain to individuals, it is incumbent on us to forcefully point out that the 96 victims, their families, survivors and all those who suffered as a result of the Hillsborough tragedy have continuously been failed in their pursuit for justice. "We salute all those who have campaigned for justice. They have been let down yet again. "We have a situation in which 96 people were unlawfully killed and yet no individual or group has been deemed legally culpable for their deaths. "As ever, our thoughts are with the families, survivors and campaigners and we would reiterate that, as established by the 2016 inquests, the behaviour of our supporters was not a contributory factor in the disaster, a truth for which the bereaved families had to fight for over a quarter of a century. "The 96 will never be forgotten https://www.msn.com/en-in/sports/am...ter-collapse-of-hillsborough-trial/ar-AAKoXsD
The 96 should never be forgotten and never will be among Liverpool fans. But it's time to close the book on this whole sad affair. Nothing will bring those people back. It's over. Let it go.
Paramount+ adds AFC Competitions to their arsenal. AFC World Cup Qualifying and Champions League among others.
That would be so much better if it were CAF. I mean, outside of Iran, Japan, ROK, and Australia, who's worth watching? I'd be interested in the Gulf nations, but I'm probably the only one.
We don't want to waste our big game this year against MLS on the bottom feeders Columbus Crew. We are going to manufacture a way for a LigaMX vs. LAFC game because we are all lost a bunch of money in the last 12 months.
LAFC is too big for MLS and is defecting to LigaMX. In return, MLS gets two bottom table teams and a team to be named later.
