Ronaldinho used a fake passport, spent a month in jail in Paraguay and is now on house arrest.

 

Didn't you see the prison league soccer team he was on? They scored 11 and I think he had 9 goals and 3 assists.

 

I'd hate to be on that losing team.

No. But I've seen saved shots and shots off the post be credited as assists if someone else scores. Don't know how common it is, but I've seen it.

Interesting. Mexico is suspending pro/rel for five years. Second division teams will get a yearly sum and seem fine with this.

 

My uncle was watching one of the ESPNs and saw something on the crawl about a possible MLS/Liga MX merger.

 

Sounds like they're speculating about it now that Liga MX has suspended pro/rel and is coming closer to the MLS structure.

 

What is the organizational structure of Liga MX? I assume that they aren't single entity, so a merger might be tough. I would expect to see some sort of expanded "SuperLiga" between the two leagues before a full merger.

 

Full merger would be a total disaster for smaller US teams, like us.
