I am going to be traveling to Europe for a month in June and I'm going to spend a week in Belgium. Is there anything I should do or something I should go see? I know football season will be over so I want get a chance to see any games but what should I know about the country and the people? Thanks

    Eat the fries

    Eat the chocalate

    Eat the mussels

Meet the people, they are very funny people and very friendly.

Bring some of the above home.

you sure know what belgium is all about :D

Nice cities in the north are Antwerpen, Brugge and Gent. Also Brussels is worth a visit. If you need info about musea, cafés or things to do in Antwerpen it's no problem providing them.

You should check it out. Good fun and probably a ton of players in your area. Of course they are probably very serious as they are top contenders.

You can bake them yourself! Cut them like you want them, and bake them for 5-7 minutes at 130-140 degrees (best is oil or fat from animals, not vegetable, which makes your fries get soft; also good is coconut oil, but very expensive). Don't get them out while baking to see if they are ready! Now you have to cool them (not in the fridge, just leave them out of the baking oil) for at least 10-15 minutes and then you bake them for 2-5 minutes (just see if they're ready) at 180 degrees. Cheers.

I believe I mean grease by fat. Is this correct Panic? I don't really know how to translate it correctly.
Also be sure to use good potatoes. The better the potatoes, the better the fries, that is if you don't fvck up, ofcourse.

Panic, next time you're in NYC head over to Pommes Frites in the East Village (3rd Ave just south of St. Mark's Place) or (I believe) Times Square. They have a wide variety of fritesaus. Some of the employees even speak flemish.

We Americans got it all wrong, they aren't French Fries, they're Belgian Fries.

Good food, good beer, nice sightseeings in the south.I advice you to stop in Bastogne as they are celebrating this year the 60th anniversary of the battle of the Bulge that occurred in December. There is a nice museum to visit.
In Orval (south East) you can visit the Orval brewery (beer made by the monks) that is very interesting. They have a restaurant close by where you can taste different dishes made with the beer.
