The Metros are my second favorite team. I follow them for the East. When it comes right down to it, I'm a Quake fan. And I want the Quakes to kick the poop outta them when ever they come here. But any other day, I like them. I am going to LA to see them this weekend. And I bought my friend a shirt to wear. She can only go to the game with me if she is wearing something that says Metrostars. Disclaimer: Many comments to follow on how I should not like more than one team in the same league.
Hartlepool Green blows (pardon the pun), its very dry and stupidly over-priced. I dont really read many books (Im not dumb or anything, I cant really concentrate if its not on TV). The last one I read was 'Notes From A Big Country' by Bill Bryson. Very, very good. My favourite films are the Kevin Smith ones. If you dont know them..........GET OFF THIS DAMN THREAD! Lamo I reckon I'll go for blue.
Being Friendly Hi Ian, it's nice to meet you. I'm Megan. My fav. book has to be To kill a mockingbird, I'd recommend it to anyone. My fav. movie is American Beauty. My fav. color is silver and since you dont want to know what my fav. weed is, I won't tell you!
Re: Being Friendly I have just been a fan for the past few years, and I stay after every game, and over the years, I have talked to the guys after games in Auto. Alley.
Mass genocide is the most exhausting activity one can engage in, next to soccer. Loki (Matt Damon), Dogma The best line ever.

Notes From A Small Island? One of the jokes Bryson makes in regards to the title is how the English think that Britain is a big place. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/t...7501/reader/2/002-2710240-7589628#reader-link Glad to "meet" you. Why don't you like European soccer?
Does anyone else think that Graziani looks a little like Tarzan from the Disney movie Tarzan?...(except with the ripped body)
Water doesn't really go with brownies. It goes very well however with cookies and cheez-its... IB: the few, the screwed Elaine
In the last week and a half I have outlined forty pages of a 12 font textbook , taken a test on the Renaissance, taken a test in Algebra, done three ink wash and pen and ink drawings, finished one chapter of Physics and figured out the height of the stadium, read twenty pages of Les Miserables (been to busy to read much more), taken a test full of essay questions on To Kill a Mockingbird, and have almost gotten over a cold. In the next two weeks I'll be being going to a Beta Club car wash, taking a test on The Prince, outlining another 20 pages of that horribly detailed history book, taking a physics test, taking a chem test, going to my class's sign painting for the first football home game, maybe going to the football game, and working at the class car wash. I left out that no one in my French class speaks French and that my teacher insists on speaking only French and gets angry because we're supposed to know what she's saying. Our tescher last year can't teach. Not our fault. If I fail the IB French Exam it's not my fault. One of my friend's sisters almost got into Stanford. She had a 30 ACT, 1450 on the SAT, and a perfect GPA but no extracurriculars. The extracurricular's kept her out. So she went to the College of William and Mary as a calculus major.
Being Friendly Well...everyone already knows I want to go to Stanford. Most of you probably know that I'm in IB (http://www.ibo.org/), the world's most "prestigious and challenging curriculum." You start freshman year with 73 kids, end up with about 25 senior year. Don't worry, I'll make it. Ha. FAVORITES: BOOK- Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood MOVIES- XXX, The Fast and the Furious, Peter Pan, The Waterboy, and 10 Things I Hate About You COLOR- Red SODA- Diet Dr. Pepper I love my school and everyone probably already knows that. I hate our version of football but I go to the games anyhow. I'm really into that whole school spirit thing (car washes, sign paintings, Homecoming float-building, Student Council, Class Representative, etc.). IB: the few...the screwed Elaine
Being Friendly hi, i'm gale... i don't constantly, in fact, not at all, brag about how good a student i am in school... ...ciao!
Being Friendly Hey everyone. I'm Cate from the San Jose area. I've been reading this board for about 7 months but just now decided to start posting. In a few weeks I'm moving to Oregon for school. The thing I'll miss most is going to Quakes games. I've read 'In a Sunburned Country' and 'A Walk in the Woods' by Bill Bryson. Both were really funny. I just started reading 'White Oleander.' I'm not too far into it but it's good so far. Mm, that's all for now.
