Congrats to Joseph Paintsil and Ghana who have qualified for the 2026 World Cup. https://gna.org.gh/2025/10/ghana-qualifies-for-2026-world-cup-with-victory-over-comoros/
My whole family got behind Cameroon in 1994 WC. Went to one of their games. They and their fans were marvelous.
Good article from Alex Ruiz about the development of Elijah Wynder. It begs the question as to why Vanney needs midfielders who can play his specific and complicated system, but I do agree that the more comfortable Wynder is in the system, the less he has to think and process and the more he can be free to use his speed and physical ability.
I would pay $100 to know the specifics of Vanney’s system. Something beyond “keep possession” and “make the right movements.” Seriously, I would. Because if I saw a system emerging at least I would have something to entertain me between conceded goals.

According to the Cleveland Guardians Instagram, John Nelson threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game tonight. The video did not show whether the ball actually reached home plate. This is as random as it gets, but I kind of love it. I mean I know that Nelson is from Medina, Ohio, which is a suburb of Cleveland, but I didn't think a major league baseball team or its fans really took notice of the left back from a 5-5-5 team with a 0 GD currently sitting in the last play-in spot for the playoffs. By the look of the smile on Nelson's face, though, he is probably a lifelong fan and this was a dream for him.
Not sure if this is the right place for these kinds of things, but thought people might like to see a goal Tucker Lepley scored tonight for Oakland Roots in USLC LEPLEY STRIKES.
