The Crew are having another rally this Wednesday (11/12) at 4:30p-6:30p at the Experience Columbus Visitor Center (277 W. Nationwide). Info here: http://www.experiencecolumbus.com/event-detail.cfm?id=18722
The Experience Columbus Visitor Center? And that is supposed to attract people? At least Easton has some foot traffic that will stop to see what is going on. I have no idea what or where this is. Why not have it at the rest area off of 71 between Polaris and Sunbury? Jesus.
Some one was complaining to me at the match Saturday that Frankie should be used to the cold weather in Ohio by now to which I replied that we aren't usually playing in November. it sucks to be in the eastern conference final
Does anybody know what players will be there? I liked the last rally, and I did have a person ask what was going on and they said that they might buy a ticket because of it. I hope that the Local news will broadcast the rally so more people will come.
Not at all, there is plenty of free parking in the area. Plus, I'm curious to see if the Blue Jackets possibly doing something to honor the Crew.
My wife works in the building with the visitors center. She said once each month the zoo brings in animals, and they're always cute young ones. That has nothing to do with this. I just wanted to share.
Oh yeah, there is no fans out there that love soccer more than hockey fans. This event was made for Jericho. The last one was okay, it was sort of awkward being in the middle of the mall and it only lasted a hour out of the two, and that was out of efficiently stretching the event. I figure going to a Crew rally at a hockey game would even be more awkward.
I don't know about that....as a soccer fan of the female persuasion I think that comment could be right on target
I'm very interested about this as well, didn't they offer to let the Crew use their private jet this or last season? I would hope and think that they would, honor their fellow Columbus Pro's
In 2002, they honored the Crew after winning the U.S. Open Cup. The team got to watch the CBJ game from one of the party towers, and the Jackets put the Crew on the video board and asked for a round of applause for the 2002 U.S. Open Cup champions. They put the team on the video board a few other times with a Crew USOC champions tag at the bottom of the screen.
I thought that the Blue Jackets had offered it to the Crew even before that, but MLS nixed it citing competitive advantage.
With there being a CBJ game, that makes much more sense then. I hadn't figured that part out yet. Thank you.
You are correct sir. Also at Wednesday or Friday's CBJ game Crew cat was there and so was Sigi. I just don't remember which game it was so the CBJ were helping to promote Saturday's game even though it was competing with their own home game. Come to think of it I am pretty sure it was Wed.
To which I replied that we do play in April and he does train here in preseason, but you were no longer listening. Oh and it wasn't a complaint, just a statement.
