Altidore isn't more recognizable than Kovalenko?

I think there is some question as to whether or not he will be available due to Olympic team / U23s responsibilities so they didn't want to commit that he'd be there and find out later he won't be.

I had a pretty good laugh at Kovalenko being the lead too! :)

Argh, another Friday game at SAS (or is it Wake Med now).

Has anyone in the Railhawks front office ever driven I-40 through the Triangle at 5:30pm on a Friday? Sigh.

Granted, the 29th will be the NCAA Final Four, but they could've played a nice Saturday afternoon, or possibly Sunday afternoon, game.

Last year the RailHawks played 6 home games on Friday and 6 home games on Saturday. The Friday games average 4888 attendance while the Saturday games averaged 5390.

On the surface it looks like you're probably on to something but keep in mind that one of those Friday games was the playoff game played in a monsoon that only drew 923 in attendance, so that right there probably skews the statistics.

Thanks for the info! I was worried that the NCAA's would maybe be on during this game, but they won't, so I will have to go.

It's gonna be tough for me to get to Cary from Greensboro by 7:30pm... but I'm gonna be there.

You'll need to factor in the traffic headed to the RBC Center for the Atlanta Thrashers/Carolina Hurricanes game. If the playoff chase is still tight, I'll be headed there instead of SAS.

Ives answered my question about the game -- I'm pretty excited we'll get to see all the big time guys for at least a half

Things can change in a week, but weather forecasts have it 79/59 on Friday, which probably means 60s for Friday night, which would be perfect. There's rain coming on Saturday, let's hope it doesn't come earlier.

Tim Candon's got a nice article on Claudio Reyna and Scott Schweitzer's playing high school soccer together in New Jersey in this week's Cary News...

No, the MISL season doesn't end until April 5th and then the playoffs start. Baltimore (Watson) is already into the playoffs. I cannot figure out where New Jersey (Antoniuk) stands right now. I cannot find the standings on MISL.net! (what a poor league website design when it's not obvious how to find the table).

Anyway, here's the playoff bracket and dates. I would assume they'd arrive a day or two after their last game. Not sure how it will be handled if there are conflicts with opening weekend.

Everyone make sure to come out, rain or shine. And come out in force for the 204 Depot.
