Barring something USOC, the Whitecaps will not be playing at DC this season. They will be playing in Philadelphia on 3/31, but that's quite a trek...
Well I doubt the WhiteCaps will make it far into the US Open Cup, them being Canadian and all I made the same mistake with my NASL Open cup thread with PR and Edmonton.
hehe, yeah, I'm a doofus. So yeah, we're gonna see the Whitecaps all of once I think, in March. Should be fun.

Seems that the Railhawks are getting to experience what we Cleveland fans did when Rennie left Cleveland
OT: Unfortunately this is a sign of our college programs and general quality. That's another thread though.
Gaudette invited to training camp with the Galaxy. Presumably the reports of his signing with Carolina were less than accurate.
Maybe he had an option to try out for MLS teams, if does not make it maybe he will go back to the hawks. or not
I don't see there being much of a chance of him signing for us, so don't worry. He's talented, to be sure and probably could get some time at an MLS club, but we're fairly set for keepers at the moment. Someone on our boards pointed out he may just be there to fill out the numbers while Perk is away at the U-23 camp.

Luke DeCock has a nice piece on the roster moves: http://www.newsobserver.com/2012/01/30/1816754/new-railhawks-chief-knows-winning.html
You guys signed Brian Ackley, a forward-midfielder, who played for the Harrisburg City Islanders and Reading United last season. He went to Indiana and played professionally in New Zealand and the Czech Republic before coming home last summer. I just interviewed Ackley where he shared the news, I'll post a link to the interview later tonight or tomorrow. He played really well for the City Islanders during their run to the final, he's a target forward but pretty mobile and plays the ball well to overlapping players. I think he's a good pick up for you, and he's very excited to be playing in his home state.
Chris Nurse returns http://www.oursportscentral.com/services/releases/?id=4349722 Agbossoumonde set for RailHawks loan http://www.soccerbyives.net/soccer_by_ives/2012/02/agbossoumonde-set-for-railhawks-loan.html
Pretty surprised. http://sanantonioscorpions.com/club...-plus-sign-first-san-antonians-to-team-roster
Great to see Nurse return! I agree with article "He is an aggressive, controlling midfielder who has the ability to take over a match." Team starting to take shape!
Here's my interview with Ackley, you'll notice he announces his signing with Carolina at the end, he's very excited to be returning home to play. http://thesportsburger.com/2012/02/02/the-soccer-nobody-interview-brian-ackley.aspx
