RAI International's website is only currently getting updated a couple of days ahead of time, but there is a mention of "La Giostra Dei Gol" airing at 1:50 pm on SATURDAY. This would imply one of the Saturday afternoon anticipi is the TV game this week. I saw the schedule of games this weekend (many of them at wierd and varying times) but can't remember. Anybody have the schedule?
Found a listing. The only Saturday afternoon game is Modena- Milan. Seems like a wierd choice, but perhaps. I'll wait for more official word.
Now that I think about it, this might be their "tape delayed" game of the weekend, although they usually don't have a "Giostra Dei Gol" show around the taped games. The early Saturday games are Bologna-Roma and Inter-Torino, which seem to me to be more likely candidates for getting shown. I'm guessing at Juventus-Atalanta as the live game on Sunday morning (there are only two others - Lazio-Chievo and Udinese-Parma).
Thanks for the news. I get the tape-delayed game on Sundays at 11am EST. I have WNYE so RAI International comes through the International Channel (WNYE has a lot of international programming.) I checked and 90m Minuto is listed as usual but there is no game listed. I guess this is because they're updating their schedule only a few days ahead of time, like you said. I would assume it's Juve-Atalanta as well for the live game. If so, does this mean it will be the tape-delayed game also?
Welcome, Federico. Do you mean a Serie B game would be shown on Saturday - or Sunday? That would be sort of unusual when Serie A games are being played - but do you have other inside info?
yes, i meant serie b on Saturday... I did see a trailer on Rai Int. and i called Rai Int. in Rome. They told me that on Saturday there will be only Serie B. I hope it is no true... but..
I saw a trailer for La Giostra come on RAI last night, and my stupid husband changed the channel! So I didn't see what they had to say. Just that it was starting Sep 14-15, which we knew already. Are any of the Serie B games being played in the evening, or all daytime games. I sure hope we don't get a tape-delayed Serie B game. Ugh. Hoping the person you spoke with didn't know much.
Rai Int. is updating their site as I write this, but from a preview that I had of it it says Saturday la Giostra is for the Serie B but they will follow also any games of serie A played that evening....

Was this is in the trailer, or did you see it on-line somewhere. Will they be showing the Saturday game live, or on 2 hours delay, like last year?
I see that's what is reported at soccertv.com. Interestingly, Soccer America (which, I thought, got its listings from soccertv.com) is reporting that the Bologna-Roma game will be shown on tape AFTER the Milan-Modena game. Two live games AND one on tape seems too good to be true, but I'll take it if it's true.
Okay, the latest news, which makes the most sense to me, from soccerTV.com - Saturday (all times Eastern) 1:50 pm (LIVE?) - Verona vs Livorno (Serie B - of special interest to any Roberto Donadoni fans out there, since he coaches Livorno). 4:30 pm (tape delay) - Bologna vs Roma (there will again be one tape-delayed game each weekend. Since Sunday's late game this week is not that attractive, they picked one of the Saturday morning games. Sunday 9:00 am - Juventus vs Atalanta (live) - this game will also be the taped game on other outlets that carry Serie A. Federico, Soccer America has a website, www.socceramerica.com, but I was referring to their daily e-mail which only goes to subscribers to their magazine.
OK, it's almost time to panic. I just checked my guide and there is nothing listed for Sunday at 11am EST on WNYE. I was talking to a friend in NY and he had Juve-Atalanta listed. I'm hoping they are just slow to update it here because 90m Minuto is listed for 1:15 like usual...
