First of all, all FC Dallas home and away games will be carried live on English radio. This was announced by General Manager Greg Elliott at the town hall meeting that the team hosted on Tuesday night. The Burn had all games on English radio in 1996 and all road games in 1997, but had a declining English radio presence since then, with no games on English radio in 2003 and 2004. Meanwhile, all games have been on Spanish radio since the beginning, on KESS 1270 AM from 1996-2003 and on KXEB 910 AM ("La Mejor") in 2004. Elliott said that he expects that FC Dallas will remain on La Mejor in 2005. Also, although no agreement has been reached, Elliott also announced that the team intends to put all road games that aren't nationally televised onto local TV next season. In recent years, the Burn had had local TV for all road games, save for two or three per season which the team knew would be on the Shootout or Direct Kick packages. So, fans were able to see all road games on TV, but would need the Shootout or Direct Kick for two or three of them. However, Elliott said that while he liked HDnet and the Direct Kick packages, fans shouldn't need to buy them to follow their team on the road. Finally, he announced that all FC Dallas local telecasts in 2005 would have Spanish commentary on SAP.
