Of course they knew what it was. Whether the reason they used it was because deep down they admired Hitler or because the thought it looked cool (like the KISS logo) and it matched up with their unit's mission -- Scout Snipers -- is the question. My guess is it's the latter.

This used to be my opinion.

    But plaques can be replaced.

    Melt them down.

Yeah, all those Romanians pulling down the statues of Ceausescu were trying to erase history.

No, I think it is valuable to keep them around as a reminder of our awful history. Or some of them, perhaps not those on federal land or getting federal money.

Like MAGA would ever do such a thing. That'd be like saying something like "Christopher Columbus discovered a route from Spain to Haiti."

I wouldn't be opposed to putting them in museums.

But then again, there is no blatant mention of Nazi Germany in any German history museum, is there?

They did have a tendency to build camps that were not destroyed.

Right, I think it was Eisenhower who didn't want the camps razed because then some idiots would claim that the Holocaust never happened. Hmm, how did he know?

This could go in a lot of threads, but I enjoyed this conversation on the Bulwark starting about the 31st minute. It deals with American racism, being an expat, the rise of American dictatorship, etc.

If they *had* been razed, it wouldn't take much effort for some idiot to link:

    1) George Soros, a non-observant Jew, who survived the occupation of Hungary.

    2) Antifa.

    3) The camp sites.

And, sadly, thousands would believe it.

Well, turns out a website my cousin's ex-boyfriend's sister sent me says that Eisenhower had them razed and CommieLibFascist elites reconstructed them to make them look far more sinister than they actually were :cautious:

My uncle's daughter's first husband said he had been shown a document by a "CIA agent" who said those camps were the first attempt at Jade Helm.

Friday's opening Premier League game between Liverpool and Bournemouth was stopped in the first half after Cherries forward Antoine Semenyo reported being racially abused by someone in the Anfield crowd.

    ...

Ghana international Semenyo took to Instagram after the game to show more racist abuse he had received, with the caption: "When will it stop?"

"He's a little bit down - something needs to be done. Taking a knee has taken no effect. We've supported him and hopefully he'll be OK."

Yep. And in this fine, 100% Woke country, even taking a knee is like shoving grandma off a cliff.

England women stopped taking the knee after Carter was racially abused in the the quarterfinal. They said it has lost it's meaning, and I agree.

400 years (and counting) of miseducation is a mother ********er

Googled this because I have no idea who she is. The media, of course, is spinning this as her getting the worst of it as often as they're saying she educated them.

Part of the problem is that Seales is not in the field of education or politics. I understand that Black conservatives don't deserve to face anyone respectable. But this is like a celebrity roast. Why bother tuning in?

Is this like that Mehdi Hasan video from like a month ago, where one person picks 20 randos and “debates” them? And controls the editing?

Because if that’s what it is, I’m curious what you’re getting out of it.
