It sounds like the guy is mentally disturbed. Kind of a recluse/shut-in who occasionally appears and shouts at whomever is nearby. If the person nearby is Black, the offender points that out, just in case the person forgot. Oh yeah, and the recluse/shut-in is heavily armed, which means the cops are afraid to handle the situation - a POC with a cell phone, they can go "I thought he had a gun!" while waiting for the coroner to show up, but someone with actual guns, just back away slowly.
Had exact same kind of I-Tie jagoff in (I think) the Jackie Robinson houses in Brooklyn harassing all his AA neighbors and eventually getting violent and may be the suspect in an apartment fire that killed someone. There were videos of his antics and all. Appeared in court a few times but not sure they even forced him out of the building yet. Edit - Ebbets Field Houses. Knew it was Dodgers related. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnewyork.com/investigations/suspect-in-deadly-nyc-fire-still-living-in-building-accused-of-racially-harassing-black-neighbors/4469153/?amp=1
Aaaaand he has a decent chance to win the popular vote this time. Much better than the last two elections, at least. He'll probably also get 40%+ of the Latino vote and 20%+ of the Black male vote. Bizarre times we're living in.
The Washington Post published an op-ed that brought up black men who plan to vote for Trump. To sum it up it was basically because of patriarchy. I hadn't heard of the author but the conclusion is basically obvious. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2024/10/28/kamala-harris-black-men-trump-masculinity/
Definitely. The MAGA movement is hyper patriarchal/toxic masculine. It's very appealing to a lot of young men because it's aggressive and blames feminists and gays (and minorities for the white MAGAts) for everything that's wrong with society. They've done a masteful job at painting themselves as genuinely masculine while liberals are effeminate and soft.
Which is funny as hell, since Trump is a whiny, weak-ass manchild. I had a lot of positive adult models of masculinity growing up. Not a one of them resembled Trump. A lot of whiny, weak-ass children resembled Trump, but I hope some of them grew out of it. But given his popularity, probably not.
For a while, it seemed like Tim Walz was getting some traction by calling them "weird" and presenting an alternative version of masculinity where men just get shit done and don't whine and complain about how unfair everything is, but that seems to have been forgotten now. Tucker Carlson was at the MSG rally - is he still tanning the inside of his butthole?
