What's your definition of real consequences? Her career as a ADA/DA is over and, if she's convicted of a crime, she may end up getting her license to practice law suspended/terminated. Now, jail time, yeah, that's not going to happen. She's, at worst, looking at probation.

EDIT: Actually, you didn't, but I hope you know she's getting off light. A better question would have been, "Is there any way we can throw the book at her and imprison her?" And if the answer is no even before the question is asked, then asking me what my definition of real consequences is isn't kind, given what we POCs are going thru right now.

 

Having her career come to a crashing halt is a "real consequence". Especially if that includes an end to her government provided pension. It's not as "real" as you want, but, in all likelihood, she's going to be disbarred and won't be able to work as a lawyer again.

Her charges are more “administrative” charges. She accused of using her position as a DA to interfere with the arrest of the father/son and then, despite recusing herself, using her position to influence the investigation into the shooting.

My opinion is primarily based on the charges she was arrested for. They are both relatively minor charges and have short jail terms. As a first time offender I’m assuming she’ll get off without jail time.

 

She's the first time offender, not you. Anyhow, the part about DT wasting hia time was not aimed at you.

That's what I was thinking, too. Your Honor, if she's abused her power once,how do we know she hasnt abused it before? We have to reopen my client's case!
